I couldn’t tell the difference until I saw two pictures side by side a before and after pic will be great if you don’t mind I like how the smaller grill has less chrome it gives a better look to the front of the car.

2018 Accord Touring 1.5t; Ordered my sport grille today from Honda...i have decided to try and do this myself without taking the off bumper! Wish me luck my Accord brothers!!!! Should arrive Tuesday next week 🙌🏽
Quick update...got my OEM Blk Chrome Sport Grille with blk garnish and used this method and worked like a charm!!!! Thank you sir...also recieved my Blk Accord Fender Garnish but plastic dipped it with glossifier...installing tomorrow 🙌🏽 😎

Hey 👋 quick question. When you ordered the sport grille from Honda did it come with the trim on top of the headlights? They were telling me its a kit? But couldn't tell me for sure.. My understanding is I'm getting just the grille because I have the chrome insert. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

@@five-bu6hs same, my local dealer told me that Sport Grille was only for the Accord Sport and Sport 2.0 models 😒 clearly they didnt know what they were talking about.

Got my grille from College Hills Honda. It came put together already, no need to reuse hardware.
I may end up buying the OEM one eventually.

Did you have to pull off the rubber gaskets on the side pieces by the headlights from your old grill and put them on your new grill? The one I bought on eBay does not have the black rubber gasket on the side pieces so it leaves a gap. Thank you!

The 5/22 date was for the batch we pre-sold. New batch arrives mid July in which will come with a Red option.

Do you know where I can find the sport grille that’s all glossy black? It’s basically this, but the top part where you have it as chrome is also glossy black.
At the Honda dealership
I saw the sport grille they have, and the top accent part isn’t glossy black. They call it black chrome which is basically like the smoked chrome grille that comes with the stock Accord Sport trims. I was hoping it was actually glossy black but it’s just smoked chrome that kinda look black, but isn’t completely black. I saw a listing on eBay but it looked like they sold out unfortunately. I also saw another listing, but it was from China. Idk if I can trust that seller?
@@abhaypatel8612 Today i ordered the black sport Grille w/ the black accent from Honda Dealer you talking about...they tried to tell me it will not fit on my 2018 Honda Accord Touring 1.5t....hope this helps...installing mine Wednesday with the method from video.

If you don’t want to remove the grille you can do what I did and buy a cover for the grill
@Modern Day Entertainment I’ve seen this. I don’t like the way the H looks. It looks recessed and not flush like having an original grille.
Paul Fearon yeah I agree but that’s what you get with most aftermarket products, it’ll never be as good as OEM unless you want to tear your car apart
Paul Fearon I also don’t notice anything that’s unflush with other than the part that goes over the top of the Logo. The Honda logo is like a millimeter apart so it’s not that noticeable imo. Plus the black plastic cover matches the black plastic on the grille so it flows decently
@Modern Day Entertainment we must be talking about different products. It’s definitely not a 1 mm and that sounds impossible. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don’t like things looking clipped on and bulky. I guess it’s because I not only own one of these but I also work in the industry. Aesthetically just not pleasing. especially where the H is. But mine outlook. those clip on mods are cool cause anyone can do them. And I think that is the main purpose and market they are trying to target.
Paul Fearon hm maybe it is just the plastic cover for the chrome grille. If you apply it correctly it tucks into the headlight so it looks neater. But yeah I only did this because 1, it is way easier because you don’t take off the bumper and 2, I can’t afford a new grille since they’re like 2-3 hundred. I just used it for now but yeah hopefully I can get the smoked one because it looks more natural.

what you didn't explained is that you have to remove the bumper in order to do it like it's supposed to
It is much easier to remove the bumper, but I didn't have to.

I reached in and did it with a flat head screwdriver. If you want to remove the bumper you can.

Not that I am aware of. You just need to push on them to release them. Use a flat head screwdriver
