So within 2min I seen why they wouldn't come off. You have a drum ebrake. The hole with the rubber alot in it wasn't removed. You needed to remove it, turn it to the 6 o'clock position, use a flathead and turn the adjuster for the ebrake shoes. After that the rotor would have come off. Also a bolt in one other the 2 small holes, thread it in to push the rotor off. Next time as well put some anti seize on the hub face . Will make the removal alot easier next time. Thanks for the review though!

Use the bolt holes in the rotor to push it off

Don’t need to clean it off with brake clean they are coated… and yea the pb blaster prob not a great thing to have all over the rotor lol

You need to take the protective coating off with brake clean. The coating keeps the rotors from rusting. You do not want that coating getting on the pads.

@@chemicalspore not if they are the geomet coated rotors, they are designed to just drive and the coating comes off.. the non geomet type yes you should clean them off with brake clean.

@@chemicalspore You only need to remove an oil/grease protective coating on bare rotors, If the rotors are zinc/geomet coated its designed to scrape off the first time you drive. brake clean doesnt remove zinc/geomet coating anyways, it would need to be sanded off. I just bought geomet rotors and can confirm there is no oily residue on the rotor surface.

@@johnsullivan937 yeah i dont trust that. Get the coating soaked into the pads. 😬

Getting bigger rotors won’t brake your faster just had more cooling , you need bigger brake pads with more surface to grab on to a bigger rotor,

How did these hold up (all 4)? How long until you changed pads again?

Did you’re brake grind when you first installed the r1 concepts rotors and ceramic pads?

Mine is doing this. Did you figure out the issue? The top edge of the caliper is grinding against the new rotors and not sure how to put if I can fix it.
