I enjoyed listening about your thoughts on reading! I agree with you. Sometimes I get in a good habit and sometimes I don’t. Life isn’t always about chasing those huge goals. A little bit at a time is okay too!
I totally agree with your take on hobbies and social medial. I enjoy casual hobbies and don’t feel the need to be the best or do the most with them unlike the content I tend to see - it’s my free time and I thrive when there is no pressure and the main purpose it is just to create joy in my life
We are scared to lose you again renee! Your videos are so wholesome! I feel like you ground me and help me reset my focus to the more important things in life.
I love checking TH-cam just to see if you posted. Hope Bryson & everyone feels better soon. I’m totally with you on the social media and instagram topic, it feels so much better to unplug and just be you. That’s why I love your channel and really only a few others. It’s just about living this one life and trying to enjoy it. Thanks for sharing, and cute tops!
Renee, I can’t explain to you how happy I am to see all these vlogs. I am so proud of you and sending you all the love 🤍🤍 this is my fav little corner on the internet! ⭐️🤍
bryson is precious, him at the beach was so cute to watch, i agree with your take on reading and the hobbies/social media, it seems like these days everyone is in competition if you will. i think its good for all of us to take a step back every so often and reflect on our lives and take time for ourselves
I've been trying to put into words how I feel about social media, especially Instagram, to my husband. And you nailed those feelings in this video! I'm right there with you!
I just had an abdominal surgery on Monday & it has forced me to slow down as well. It feels weird not working out or getting in my steps, but I’m trying to embrace this part of life right now. Slowing down can be difficult for people with the go-go type personality.
How I stopped that stress around reading was using Goodreads in a different way. I was overwhelmed by all the books I had, I was constantly buying more books, but I felt like I wasn’t reading enough. I completely cleared my ‘want to read’ list and now only have on it books I physically own. That helps me figure out what to read next and know what books I have in the house already without buying more. I set myself a target, but not because I’m competing with myself or anyone else, but so I can stop feeling like I don’t read enough. I set it to 20 books this year and I’ve just adjusted it to 30 because I’m ahead. Before, I was watching how many books my wife read and felt like I wasn’t reading enough, because she reads tons. But now I just read when I want to, and the number is to remind myself that I am giving time to it, and I have my own journey. 💕
I only wear one necklace, the chain is from Paris Jewellers, but the charm is a memorial charm from Amazon, and it contains a tiny bit of my Dad’s ashes. So it’s the only one I wear, I take it off when I’m at home so it doesn’t get ruined, since it’s a bit heavy.
New subscriber. Yes! The way people are talking about out reading books is out of control. I take months to read a single book sometimes. And that’s ok. It reminds me of beauty YT content back in the day that was full of over consuming. Of course now the trend seems to be decluttering and minimal makeup. Social media and its trends are too much sometimes. I live in the Tampa area too. It’s hilarious how many stores have winter clothing that just isn't feasible here unless you want to sweat to death 😂
Renee, I am loving your videos. As a long time follower I have to say I can totally relate to what you are saying about social media being extreme.. . I am a huge reader and it has always brought me such a sense of peace. My Dad passed away 2 months ago and I have really turned to reading even more so than before. A love of books is something we shared and something I immensely enjoy. I post reviews because I love reading and sharing my thoughts. I feel like you have to have X number of followers, you HAVE to read a TON of books, in order to feel "included/accepted or good enough" and that just makes me sad. There is so much pressure to "keep up" with the other bookstagrammers when it should be something you love and do because you enjoy it. Slowing down this year is a goal of mine as well, whether it is with reading or spending time at home with my family.
Girl, you need to try Living Proof products for your hair! especially Density Serum, Restore Spray and PhD Shampoo. The brand you use has a lot of protein and if not switched up with something actually hydrating - can cause hair dryness and breakage. Anything with protein should only be used once every 6 shampoos. Good luck!
I have an idea for the little floating shelves: I think it looks good so far, but the candle with the handle is the same height as the plant. Need a little variety of heights on that second shelf. Maybe lean some books against the plant? Or something of a different height idk
Hi Renee! Yes, being Mom ALWAYS comes first, good for you!! Have you ever tried the Noosa Lemon yogurt?? FIRE!! So good! Love the prints and the beach with Bryson, so cute!! Love ya! ❤❤❤ Oh, love those lights under the TV too! 🧡
We need more pictures of Renee on the walls too!!! You and your dad is cute, we need more!! Maybe one of momma and bubby or a family photo of all 3 of you, etc. Also like the idea that someone mentioned adding Arya. Maybe you, Arya and Bryson? Or a full family pic of all 4 of yall!!
Renee...your view of social media is shared. I find social media extremely toxic...for me. I can manage YT and some FB (once a week to keep in touch). I found when I put these limiters on my use of "media", I'm much happier. And, that is OK. Self acceptance of where you are and just "being" each day is, truly, a "rich" life. ❤
Hi Renee, recently found your channel & so thankful! Thank you for the book reviews & relatable content 🤍I think you popped up on my feed bc my family will also be moving to the Tampa area soon. Your new place is beautiful and I’m wondering if it may be too much to ask for some info on it, the area etc? We will be needing to rent for a bit til we find our perfect home and it’s so overwhelming searching!😅
There's a brand that I really like called Sozy (so cozy) and their clothes feel like pjs. They also are female founded and US made. Plus 10% of their profit goes to supporting survivors of sexual violence and an additional 10% of profit supporting other charitable and environmental initiatives. I've been shopping from their site for the past few years and absolutely love their clothes and what they stand for.
I just wanted to share perspective from a 45 year old that I wish someone had shared with me when I was in my early 30s. You are your own person, you don't need to compare yourself to anyone, let alone instagram. Live your life at your own pace, do your own thing. If there is a 100 books thrown your way on instagram that's great, maybe out of that 100 books there is one book that will interest you and hopefully you'll be able to read it when you have time and at your own pace. As a 45 year old woman, the beauty of living is knowing that I live for myself and not for someone else. I don't compare, I don't envy, I create my own happiness what works for me. Somehow I feel like that wisdom needs years and years to develop but trust me, you will not care... the earlier that comes your way the better it will be for your well being. BTW, I've watched your channel ever since New York and you have the potential to embody that wisdom much earlier than mid 40s.
I totally relate to what you are saying about the reading content on social media. I follow a few people that do book vlogs and their TBR’s are insane. They have like 10-15 books to read for the month of September. Like really? Where on earth does anyone get time to read so many books. I suppose when you don’t have kids or jobs, you have a lot more time on your hands. If I get through 2 books a month I’m lucky. I do enjoy the book recommendations but I don’t let their giant TBR lists affect me or my love for reading. I might not get through a 100 books a year, but I still see myself as a reader. You just have to switch off to the outside world and do you! I would much rather take my time and enjoy reading a book in the moments that are calm and when I can really soak in the content then rush through book by book just so that they have something to show on social media. No thanks.
18:37 I find this difficult. I’m not on any social media, originally because I was in hiding for personal readings, but I soon realised it does allow me to live my own life, and not what others dictate to us. However, please remember how you phrased this could potentially be no different to you working with sponsors and influencing watchers to try a product. Not everyone is on social media to influence, some are just living their life and sharing it, like you say you are. You also state so often about how you want to live a minimalist life, yet every video has a shopping element or an unboxing element. I do however agree with that I read to read, it’s not a competition, it’s just simply a hobby. 📚
Hey Renee, I’m a family photographer and may be able to help you out with the printing. Not sure what the issue exactly is but let me know and I’ll let you know if I can help out. 😊
I don’t resonate with your Instagram experience at all, but then again I’m 61 and have been on there since it started …I mainly follow creative arts and memes on there! If I get too many posts about stuff that’s too faddy or influencer-y I just block them and then they don’t get suggested anymore … I read a lot but that’s not something I’m interested in on social media, so I don’t see that content. How you use Insta is down to your choice. I don’t understand how people feel so much pressure … keep the algorithm guessing! 😂 … I did give up Facebook completely back in 2016 because I got utterly fed up with conspiracy nuts and pro-Trump-ers being forced on me, so I do understand just walking away from something that doesn’t bring you joy! I’ve never regretted that 😊❤
Hey, just so you know even though I am subscribed and the bell is on I am not being notified of your videos I have to check manually. Thought Id just drop you a note Incase it helps. 🤷♀
Praying for yours and your family's safety. 🙏 ❤
I enjoyed listening about your thoughts on reading! I agree with you. Sometimes I get in a good habit and sometimes I don’t. Life isn’t always about chasing those huge goals. A little bit at a time is okay too!
agree! I think "boss babe" and "girl boss" has been replaced with "soft living" and I love it so much more!
I totally agree with your take on hobbies and social medial. I enjoy casual hobbies and don’t feel the need to be the best or do the most with them unlike the content I tend to see - it’s my free time and I thrive when there is no pressure and the main purpose it is just to create joy in my life
Well said… same☺️
We are scared to lose you again renee! Your videos are so wholesome! I feel like you ground me and help me reset my focus to the more important things in life.
Hope all is well after the storm!

Soft living YAAAAASSSSSSSS 🙌🏻 As a walking anxiety disorder, I love watching slow and gentle living.
Hi Renee. You should put a picture of Arya up on the family wall gallery ❤
I agree . She is family
Nova too 🥺
Renee, I can’t explain to you how happy I am to see all these vlogs. I am so proud of you and sending you all the love 🤍🤍 this is my fav little corner on the internet! ⭐️🤍
This was such a balanced video, Renee! Loved it; it was lowkey therapeutic...:)

I think you would really enjoy watching TH-cam videos of slow living. Being purposeful and enjoying the moment.
I've been trying to put into words how I feel about social media, especially Instagram, to my husband. And you nailed those feelings in this video! I'm right there with you!
Yes the extremes of social media flowing into the simple things in life did resonate… annoying and seriously mentally draining😅
This was a great vlog and the scenes on the beach were so cute
So glad you back happy and blessed fall 2024

The Beam sounds so good with chocolate milk yum
Bryson looks like your brother so muuuchh, his curls make me 🥹
Good morning Renee how are you happy Monday morning to you and I enjoy your channel and you are amazing supporter
if you're burnt out on making sourdough because of the starter - baguettes are a similar process with store-bought yeast! and easy/quicker to make :)

Omg! You nailed it on the Trader Joe's parking situation. Great video. Loved your picture gallery!
Are you near where this new storm is coming? If so, be safe.
I was thinking the same thing 😢
Hi Renee! Please check the recall info on Boars Head deli meat & cheese before you purchase more! Awesome vlog! 🥰

Your home is beautiful Renee, so much more 'you' than the old place. And Bryson..... omg what a cutie
I think old navy has some good dresses for everyday wear

Love how the family photos are everywhere. The apartment is really starting to look like a home full of love ❤️

very nice the new ap., you have sell the house?...
Omg yes! Every Trader Joe's is like that! 😩 Ugh!
Alot of people have social media overload
Hey, just so you know even though I am subscribed and the bell is on I am not being notified of your videos I have to check manually. Thought Id just drop you a note Incase it helps. 🤷♀
Don’t cut your hair. Once those front pieces are shoulder length your hair will look full, bouncy even.
beautiful video. I feel that you are pregnant again?! are you?
Insensitive comment for someone who just had a miscarriage! Absolutely wrong. And it’s a super personal question.
I think you are right. I think there are sonogram pictures on the fridge . Some here mentioned it and it does look like it .
I don't understand she has break up with z ?
No she doesnt! Why would she need that now?
Didn’t you see them kissing at the beach?🙂
If you actually watch her videos you would know they were together still. Not just come in here and troll.
