The extra song was actually one of the funniest seventeen moments. Whenever they perform ‘아주 nice’ / ‘very nice’ on live stage there is always a drop of silence at the very end and then all of a sudden the last chorus comes back on and every time they forget it so their reaction is always priceless, that’s why many Carats of long term found it funny 😂😂

The two main vocals of Seventeen are DK (Dokyeom) and Seungkwan. DK is a monster, I don't think I've ever heard him misstep on a live stage, his chest voice is to die for, a very solid belter. Seungkwan on the other hand, while also stable, has a more I would say 'pop music' voice, very suited to pop songs and very pretty to listen to.
The charismatic man to the left of the screen is Seventeen's leader, S.coups (Seungcheol). You're right on the money saying thay he has a very commanding presence even in his singing style because he's in charge of 12 rambunctious boys.
The handsome guy you keep pausing for on the right is Vernon, he's one of the main rappers. He's got a very distinct and solid rap flow, and his singing range is on the low end so it's very nice to hear in contrast with the higher pitch singers.

I'd actually say DK has a better "pop voice" imo while Seungkwan's is perfect for ballads. Dk's voice is naturally very clear and bright which is perfect for pop and why his voice stands out so much in their songs, whereas Seungkwan's voice is naturally breathier/smokier. So Seungkwan's voice kinda carries this heaviness and emotion if he sings normally, and he has to sing with a very different technique to really sound bright and poppy
And Joshua! 🥰 She seemed impressed with him as well. IMO him and Dino shined the most during this performance (DK and Seungkwan were amazing but its kinda impossible for them not to lol...their nicknames should be 'Shook & Awe' 😅) Also it is true that it is only the techniques Boo use that make his voice so bright and pop-ish but it is clearly his preferred sound so if that's how he likes to sing then by default that's the genre he would be more suited for I think?
Dk has the pop voice and SK is the powerful mix belter that is perfect for ballads
Finally, some Beautiful Tomorrow appreciation! That Lilili Yabbay acoustic performance is off the charts too, performance unit truly can do anything and everything!

The way you couldn't help to smile when Vernon's part came was extremely cute haha. I loved it, and miss, thank you so much. I learned a lot through your video, I learned many little details about my favorite singers and songs. I really liked SEVENTEE'N's self-producing side so I'm so greateful to have a little more insight to their works. BTW, you pointed it out well, Woozi then one who has his arms crossed is in the vocal unit leader meaning he helps a lot with vocal part of the songs, writing and producing 99% of songs.
Thank you so much for your kind words! :) Carats are such a sweet fandom! Honestly, their song compositions and arrangement is what I admire the most about them. Other companies are paying GOOD MONEY for composers are producers and sometimes it ends up as such a mess and seventeen literally never miss. Their compositions and arrangement is so mature and leveled. (and note I have a degree in music dramaturgy and theory so I am very very very biased on these aspects of music) I love them tons!
42:37 YES JOSHUA HONG APPRECIATION. i believe shua has one of, if not, the most underrated range of voice/singing style in seventeen. my man's be doing falcetto in ot13 songs, the lower-register doubling(?) voice in vocal unit songs, and then that monstrous jaw-dropping thing he did in 2minus1 (pls check this one out, Ms Kat). his voice has done so much this group, WE NEED TO PAY MORE RESPECTS, MY DEAR CARATS.

It's about time for DK to be the talk of the town! One of the reasons I fully stanned Seventeen was because of his voice. I couldn't stop listening to his parts in Rock with You (yes, I'm a fresh Carat, just last year). Not only that, he was also a variety god, he's sooo funny! He's been in musicals and I've never seen him struggle to hit those notes. He's that good of a singer!
I also feel like Seventeen has 2 of the best and particulary stronger main vocalists currently. They complement each other well in Seventeen songs!! That's not to say that each member's vocal color has something to bring to the table in SVT songs. I just love that their voices get to shine best because they're given parts that utilize their strengths as singers.

I recommend 2minus1 by Vernon (the one that’s not your bias 😂) and Joshua (the one you said who is versatile). He’s usually known for soft sounds but i think his lower register is underrated,
I highly recommend their songs "To You" (comeback stage/live stage) and "All My Love" (acoustic version/live band)

@@genagari9098 I've stanned for almost a yr and i remember noticing how he had little lines in the beginning and over the yrs he got more but most of them were falsetto. He got to try smth different in 2minus1 (which he did so well in) but I feel like there's still so much he's capable of doing and wow. Him singing 심상치 않아 is exactly what I've been yearning for. I'm not familiar with musical terms but he has such a nice lower register, was visibly comfortable singing in this range and a refreshing summer teen young love song suits him so well 💓

With dingo killing voice they only record it with one take that's why only a few artists have done it yet, and for seventeen to be there is an honor and you can clearly see their talent. Especially DK with his adlibs doing it all in one recording sessions. Hand down.

“Like liquid gold, very uplifting” I will shatter and crumble. I would say his voice feels very safe and warm to me in a way idk how to explain it but I’m glad to hear someone else thinks about it in that way too.
One thing I love about Seventeen is they know how to utilize their vocals well. Their main producers (Woozi and Bumzu) love to use lots of vocal layers in Seventeen songs. And most of the time these vocal layers are loud/same volume with the top layer. Woozi, DK, and Seungkwan are usually the ones who do the vocal layers the most and I'm so proud that they always sing it live!

It's obvious that Seokmin and Seungkwan are the best vocalist of svt...but I think Woozi is the most matured vocalist of the group...he's definitely not the best...but he's definitely the most matured out of the vocal line...he's clearly aware of his limitations and he doesn't go off from his limits

Jeonghan is the mischievous angel of SVT 🤣 DK and Seungkwan, for me they're the sunshine of the group. Voice and looks can be deceiving when it comes to Jeonghan 🤣 he's annoying but i freaking love that man 💖
It's interesting to me that to you, Vernon and Dino's voices are so similar because Vernon's is one of only two or three voices in the group that I will literally never mistake for anyone else's lol (and he's not even my bias!). He and The8 just have some sort of uniqueness about their voices or accents or something that they don't sound like anyone else to me.

I think it’s amazing how they have so many people in the group that work well together too! Especially since a lot of groups this big only last a couple of year before someone leaves or they disband. But Seventeen has been around since 2015!!

You even liked Dino's and Joshua's voices which are some of the most underrated things in Seventeen. I also love that you mentioned how our two main vocalists were both good but very different.
I die a little everytime I watch a seventeen dingo killing voice reaction especially after reading the comments that I even developed a feeling of hesitation whenever I try to watch one. I don't know but I'm feeling like most people, even most carats, seem to not appreciate Seungkwan's voice just because DK is a power vocal. Or maybe they do appreciate it, but always underrate it because his voice is softer and a little quieter. It hurts, because both of them are the main vocalists of seventeen, but after overusing Seungkwan's voice in belting those unbelievably high notes when they were younger, and after all of his efforts to promote through variety shows that required him to talk and react a lot, it seems like most carats only set him aside as either "the other main vocalist of seventeen, one of the gag trio, or the talkative one in seventeen" when in fact Seungkwan IS one of the best main vocalists within the 3rd gen idols.
I'm no official vocal coach but I do teach music which includes instruments and voice, so I know how good DK sounds because he definitely has a better grasp of using his chest and diaphragm, that's why his voice is so loud and wide. And that's what most people tend to notice more, and easily too, because it's a very common and showy type of vocal technique. However, only some who has sensitive ears can notice how good Seungkwan really is in terms of technique and control. He is also really good in terms of interpretation, which is one of the most important things an artist should be able to execute because skillful singing alone cannot touch people's hearts especially if you don't understand a thing they're singing. If you guys didn't know or notice, Seungkwan tends to pipe his voice down a lot whenever he's singing with someone. He's always been the support type that brings out more of the beauty the other person holds, and that's one of the reasons why his voice doesn't stand out most of the time. A really good example to prove this is Say Yes, Is It Still Beautiful (Hospital Playlist OST), and his duet with Lee Mujin (I forgot the title of the song) among many others.
This has been one of the most debated topics in the industry before too, when vocal coaches hailed Kim "XIA" Junsu as the best artist in their generation, because his voice isn't as clean as the others while his technique and interpretation is definitely one of the best.

fun fact, the last song is called “very nice” and the reason why they snuck it in at the very end like that is because it’s almost like an inside joke-at their concerts, they’ll have surprise encores where they’d perform this song numerous times, sometimes seventeen themselves get surprised by the encores
