    In this video we will be teaching the basics of cooking rice in vengala paanai / bronze pot. These days we don't cook in vengalapaani on a daily basis but for some rituals like ammavasai, thevasam,pongal this tradition of cooking in vengalapaanai is preferred.

    Very nice video. Since watching this video last year, I've been cooking rice in vengala paanai everyday and use the starch for hair wash the next day and it really makes the hair so soft. Kudos to Prema maami for this knowledge and her daughter, for this video.

    super.we palakadans will keep a separate valai thundu,for this simply we tie the wet thundu on hit panai .tie around neck and (anchi gets removed in slanting position.never used to hold.pannai rest on remaining cloth.

    usually one fourth. of rice(capacity. of the vessel)
    can be cooked .that too when this was used we used to have nice nellore pacharisi.

    I have a perfect fit chippal plate I just use cloth drying clips and clamp plate and pot on the side and leave it on a perfect fitting container and drain in it until it drains. No need to hold it

      Vengala panai best, but after cooking rice, when it is warm, transfer it to a steel vessel, because food will be poisoned if u leave it in vengala panai.
