    You are correct Harry. Our hobby needed these cars. I am not a NASCAR fan today as I was years ago, but these are important. Lynne shipped mine today.

    run great stock on my track;. Tires are fine for what I enjoy. Since there are no lights for coding or fuel/pit flash; I drilled a hole close to where the console would normally be and mounted a spare Carrera headlight underneath. I have a lighted interior and flashing pit/fuel indicator. You can also turn it off with the change lane switch. If the light is too bright you can move it away from the hole,slightly, before taping or gluing it in place. The lighted interior does look nice in the dark 🙂

    Hallo Harry, very nice vid. I have also got hold of a couple of these cars here in SA. Still has to do the tire change.
    Must say Carrera does go out of their way to promote and ensure we buy their products. Instead why dont they just make a better quality tire, then we will buy their aftermarket products.
    Still very nice cars and thank you for your tips that you shared.

    Another good video, great tips on the tires and those stock wheels. An inexpensive way to make an inexpensive car even better.

    Thanks for the video bro. Received my 4 nascars 3 weeks ago. Finally did a quick test on the track yesterday. Did you hear anything on a specific time frame for when Paul gage urethanes will be available? I only run those on my track along with carerra stock. Yes hopefully carerra can get more licensing in the near future and keep em’ coming. 🏁

    Hi Harry. Nice review. I still have to wait here in Germany for all 4 of them. Oh, well. I usually get rid of them newer rims by Carrera and replace them with the elder ones to avoid that gap on the rims, if there is an elder model of any Carrera car with the elder replacement axxles. I also replaced them on the KTM for instance, with the Porsche 911 RSR replacement axxles. On the BMW M4 GT3 with the BMW M6 ones. I mentioned that lately in your Vette C8.R and M4 clip the other day. Sadly you guys over there have a problem, ordering them in the US and Canada. Dave Kennedy mentioned that in one of his clips some months ago. That is such an ignorant behaviour by Carrera USA and Canada I think. We are better delivered here in Europe with them. Sadly, Carrera will stay with their selling philosophy, not changing the issue with the newer rims. Another stubborn behaviour by them. In terms of service that is a 0 out 10 of the customer service. Sadly I cannot try to figure out yet, which replacement axxles by Carrera would work on them. Whenever I get access to the cars, I will figure that out than and will let you know that. So, one needs to check out the aftermarket replacements for them. You mentioned below in one comment answer, which will be your attempt to do so. I am looking froward to that. Greets over to you. 🙂

      The CB Design/Slot.it 17.3x9.75 (Slot.it part# W17309715A) wheel is the best size. Using PG 22125 then sanded/turned down in your tire machine, or use 21125 for less sanding. STandard Slot.it bushings, axle, gears, for the rest of the gear. I sanded down the wheel insert to get it to fit, but MUCH easier to order the MODERN GT/LMP INSERT from Slot.it #PA60.

    Hello Harry, Thank you for your work and resulting video.
    Just yesterday I was experimenting with tires for the NEXTGEN cars and after fitting the Paul Gage 20126LM I discovered that that tire wouldn’t work.
    I was wondering what your thoughts were on using the 20128LMXD? One millimeter narrower than the tire you tested OR do you recommend waiting for the Paul Gage tire specific for that car? I'll admit I like the staggered (wider) rear tire footprint with the tire you used.
    Thanks again for your work, information and valued opinion.

    • @Homeracingworld
      @Homeracingworld  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thomassanders2600 sure, that tire would work fine. I will add that once you true the tire it is just as even and flat as any new mold tire. No need to wait if you are willing to sand/true.

    Harry, what would be your suggestion to replace the elite rear axle assembly? What aluminum wheel, axle and gear? Staff, CG or another wheel? The video is quite informative! Thanks

    • @Homeracingworld
      @Homeracingworld  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@CoachK-Royals well that’s a good parts list. CB Design,17 wheels, SCC bushings, Slot it axles, Slot it gears ….ill do a rebuild later but that’s what it’s going to take.

  • @arghoknot
    @arghoknot หลายเดือนก่อน

    I gotta think that the 3D printer guys could create a ring for the inside of the wheel to match the outer diameter.

    • @Homeracingworld
      @Homeracingworld  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@arghoknot it would be a very fragile ring and to mount it without splitting it you would have to remove the wheel, which isn’t a good idea. You don’t wanna twist and pull plastic wheels off the axle. There will be no benefit. The tire is three-quarter supported and has no flex once you through the face as I show in the video
