10 Home Build Regrets | Tips for new construction

Here are the Top Ten Regrets I have after building our First Home.
We have lived in the home for long enough now, that I can say without a doubt this is what I would change if I had a do over.
Some are easily avoidable mistakes, others were from lack of experience and knowledge & a few were made to stop us going over budget.
All of these things I wish we knew before starting our New Home Build, but now I hope I can help others with their builds too.

Agreed 2, 4, 5, 8. Adding one: cables run through the house down and upstairs need to be in every room the better. Good high grade cat 6a,e or cat7 need to be used. The connection point in each room is essential plus at lease two double points. Wifi technology is good but not going to get you for higher steady transmission speed if you go for GB line with cable connection.

A tip in regards to the washer and dryer. I have a Miele combo stacked on top of each other, the dryer is heat pump condenser, so no moisture in the laundry and it has a six star energy rating. The stack is much lower than a wall mounter dryer.
