I could not remember name of this. Bought it out of a ccs catalog. Oh the memories. Actually got tear in eye from all the memories this triggers in me. 96 was long ago
😢 now we are 40…. We were so blessed to skate and experience the 90s….. the scene was huge, the style of cloths with baggy cargos and bigger skate shoes. I was so into DVS shoes back then.

Wow what a great video, do good to see it again, most of these guys are all grown up with kids now. The Marc Johnson clip is my favourite, love the soundtrack and I'm a hophop, funk head mostly 😁
Just think, back when this came out in 1996, this was top notch skating from many top name pros of the time. Now go look at Instagram here in 2016 and the average kid skating for a skate shop-or not even sponsored-will put this video to shame! Skateboarding has progressed so much that it's almost unbelievable.
No kidding right? You see the flip they are doing now? The shit is insane! Now they got infinity flips, alpha flips, merlin twists, giger flips, dolphin flips, bull flips, dragon flips...its fucking insane!
Two things I remember about Transworld magazine: 1. It was thick as a fucking phone book. 2. They censored EVERYTHING. Like an ad with a dude holding a beer or a cigarette? Totally blocked out. Like the whole ad.
it was thick with so many ads. and u can tell there is some kind of agenda because NO hip hop at all. Obviously in 96 all other vids had rap except maybe alien workshop.
That's why I liked Big Brother magazine so much more. There were no fucks given in that magazine and it was actually interesting and the interviews were hilarious. One of the shittiest days of my life was walking into the bookstore in January 2004 and finding out they stopped printing it.
I grew up in Benicia and was so angry when they got rid of that old tiny park. It may have been small but it had flow and was really easy to skate. I totally miss that park and I'm still angry that they got rid of it.
We used to drive all the way from Hayward in the late 80s to skate that park with the Taco Bell conveniently thru the bushes next door! Had so much fun there!
Who thought the motion blur during Kostons part was a good idea? If Skater XL starts doing that I just stop playing because it looks like shit. I too remember my first camcorder.
Mannn brings back childhood memories, first real video me and the crew got. Transworld mag was my go-to over thrasher. Man i haven't this since i was 13. Im from Dayton ohio home of alien workshop. Dyrdek had a skateshop called habitat around 94-96.

Definitely one of the greats. Penny/Rowley part will live on infinitely.
I used to rock this every day in the 90s and loved it! That Geoff Rowley 18 stair double set attempt!
+John Miller Did someone ollie that?

I was a senior in highschool. Watched this after school. Went skating. Homework and study was last.

Agreed. But almost none of them have half the style of most in this vid.

We thought the Benicia Skate Park was so cool at the time, haha.

What was the skate video where the drunken bum jumps off the roof of a house. I think his name was bob
Bobcat. I think it was a 60/40 video
Who thought the motion blur during Kostons part was a good idea? If Skater XL starts doing that I just stop playing because it looks like shit. I too remember my first camcorder.
what camera is it
I wish I was the age I am now back then. Fuck.
I wish I had my 2020 mentality, but my physical self locked down in 1996.
