Idk why but if Scott is talking about it I'm interested. Always inspired. Roleplaying really is the ultimate escapism

Much appreciated and yes I completely agree. It’s one of the few things in this world that lets me enjoy life in a pure sort of way.

World-building is honestly one of the most fun parts of starting the writing process.
I've actually been doing the world-building for a superhero/sci-fi project I'm going to start writing later this year.
But I did have a conversation online a couple of days ago, on a more fantasy vibe which started from the premise that "Phoenixes would basically be therapod dinosaurs due to not being changed by evolution, they'd be living fossils like sharks and crocodiles" and ended up at "Phoenixes are pest animals and the Dark Elf sects who wear the phoenix as their sigil are basically hillbillies operating out of the Elvish equivalent of a trailer park meth-lab"

What would be awesome to see is how you keep track of all of your world building logistically. I've been building my own world for a comic book for a few years and I have a hard time of organizing everything. I keep a Google drive folder for it bit it'd be awesome to see how you do it!

I wouldn't even know how to describe my world building process. But it is the most time I would ever geek out on something.
Edit: I do want to add that part of it is also because of my mindset in writing - not just showing or "telling" my readers, but going on the adventure alongside them. Because of that, most of my world building is a note-to-self reference until it becomes a neccessity to hit them with the public history.

Missed yr last upload, didnt know you were back!
Glad to see the creative side is still running for ya lol.
When i wrote a (terrible) novel in 2022 i mapped out like, a full companion piece worth of lore. Definitely helps with structure and whatnot imo

We all start out with terrible versions. That’s usually the first one we make. Why not do a rewrite? I made this world over and over again. It was super silly when I started and had aspects that were super boring and went nowhere. But rewrite over and over again I am pretty happy with it these days. You should do the same!

@@Scott_Inksmith these days my focus is on music but I've thought about going about writing and giving another go. For the most part I just had some rookie mistakes regarding typos but there's there's some plot stuff I'd like to tinker with as well. New year, who's to say? Lol.
      Anyways, we're glad yr back!
