This ekanki (One Act Play) talks about the sacrifice of Panna - The Faithful Nurse of Udai Singh. Coming from the Land of Rajasthan, Panna, sacrifices her only child Chandan to save the prince of Chittod. This Heroic, patriotic act of Panna, is still used today metaphorically to describe loyalty,
Deep Daan is a festival where the people offer Deep - lamps to the Goddess Tulja Bhawani. Here Panna offers her Deep(Her son) and hence does the Daan - offering.
