Had Charles said LeBron doesn’t want to compete because he was dating, and didn’t go on a second date with a girl he was interested in because she went on a date with another guy 3 days before…well, that would be personal and not professional.

Of course you’re going to say something. It’s your job to say something and then Lebron comes back and acts like you just insulted his mother and his manhood and tries to tear you down as a human being. He will have a cringy handshake with you and after the game he will go on and trade you behind your back. Say what you want about mj and kobe but they always pushed their teammates to the limits they may seem like sociopats to us but they ultimately made their teammates winners. Are you stupid or are you stupid? This video was from 2017, the season right after Kevin Durant joined the 73-9 Warriors. Lebron made the statement because his team got worse while the best regular season team in NBA history just added the 2nd best player in the world. Lebron's not worried about the rest of the competition, the guy has owned the East since 2012, and he's only focused on Golden State and the Championship. Charles Barkley not thinking the Cavs needed more to beat the Warriors is still in the top 3 dumbest takes he's ever had. Later in the finals, despite Lebron being the first player in NBA history to average a 34-point triple-double on great efficiency, the Cavs got gentlemen swept in the finals against a Warriors team that ONLY LOST ONE GAME the entire postseason. Also, he said he wouldn't make it personal, then proceeded to state that "Lebron doesn't want to compete." How is that not personal? Dumb asf comment.

I like Lebron a lot. I appreciate what he’s done for the game, and it’s been awesome having him in the league so long. He’s kinda just dumb and juvenile outside of basketball. Not his fault. His sole focus since he was a kid has been basketball. Hasn’t left much room for smarts or emotional maturity. Chuck totally right about him. He’s great and he got four rings but not the way Jordan, Kobe, or Steph did by working with what they got. Being able to be traded each year or surround himself with the exact people he wants is less competitive.

Charles did the right thing to ignore and not respond to Lebron's comments about him. If he did, that argument would never stop. As he said, they're not kids where with little disagreements, they'd come to blows. That's what immature people and punks do. Love the discussion though and thanks to the four of you in the panel . . . great job you're doing for the basketball fans.

He's not called Sir Charles for nothing. He's always spot on. He's always honest - brutally, at times. But do not ... DO NOT call him out. He will verbally cut you down in a way that you won't even realize it until 5 minutes later. To paraphrase Sir Charles in reference to Jerry Rice's taunt, "You go home to your rings. I go home, and I'm still Charles Barkley." As Don Meredith would sing, "Turn out the lights. The party's over."
