I celebrate Christmas because it's my Gods Birthday. I celebrate Presidents' Day, because it's in honor (and to thank) my nations leaders. I celebrate black history month to honor my community and the triumphs they accomplished in order to be treated fairly. There were too many people who made an everlasting impact for them to be celebrated in just one day.

@@mairinmccabe Black history month is racially discriminating. You can't single out one race and tell them they are the only ones that can celebrate their history. That's racist. I know it sounds weird to hear that black people can have a national holiday that's racist, but we have this big inequity of racism when it comes to black people right now. That's all I'm saying. The teacher that sent you here didn't think before they sent you to watch a video about a racist month.

Black history currently takes up the entire year not just one month. it's constantly being forced onto us, in TV and music and movie. that would not be a bad thing except that -- surprise! -- we hear only a little about black history. rather, we hear about the bad bad whites. how mean the whites are. and how little opportunity blacks have, in a world where they have access to scholarships that white kids never do, Music is dominated by their color, and so are sports. In summary, "black history" is the most racist event since slavery, and it has the same goal.
