man, i love the sound a rig makes. my dad was a truck driver and when i was kid i would take trips with him all over the united states. i loved laying in the sleeper an just listening to the engine and just falling asleep. i loved those trips. He passed away when i was 9 so the trips got cut short. but ill always cherish them. i got a Peterbilt tattoo on my shoulder in memory of him. they were his favorite trucks. thanks for the video man.
Honestly playing this game helped me pass my truck driving school. I cut my school in half. I love your set up. It's so realistic. Using that shifter I'm positive you could hop in a truck and drive no problem. Keep up the videos! Even though I drive trucks now I'd still watch and play this game.
I simply love NM history. Here’s a tidbit since you’re headed to the FE. Santa Fe is the oldest capital city in North America and the oldest European community west of the Mississippi. While Santa Fe was inhabited on a very small scale in 1607, it was truly settled by the conquistador Don Pedro de Peralta in 1609-1610.
It's unfortunate to see a group of buddies stop hanging out. Friends and family are Most important in life. Glad to have you home buddy, i won't be going anywhere regardless of who is or isn't around. Thanks for the road trip brother.
Beautiful truck! Just picked this up from RTA and plan to drive it when I get home from work tonight. Sound pack is awesome on this rig too. Great video as always Jeff!
Our family is doing alright, Jeff Favignano. I'm so glad that you made it back home safely. I enjoyed watching your videos. I love the sound of the Peterbilt 359 truck on American Truck Simulator too. Keep up the wonderful videos. Say Happy birthday to Jeremy for me, Jeff Favignano.
First time I've seen someone played ATS without a navigation map you basically had to use a road map like truck drivers did 20 years ago nice ol school semi Jeff I'm getting the GMC Astro semi model kit 1/25 scale because I saw one in person 2009.
LOVE THIS JEFF!!! 2 hours ago i was thinking about buying a truck from RTA.. but i was thinking 20 bucks for a truck seems sketch... so the fact that u got one makes me feel reassured!! Thanks Jeff!
It really depends on is it really worth it quality-wise and content-wise. Remember that Peterbullet 352, now it's maintained by different modder and is free, but originally was paid mod. The quality of that truck was really bad and still is and the only modifications for it are really basic and ridiculously unsubtle. And it's the only cabover Pete available for ATS. I'm enjoying my modified Viper2's 379/389, such a great mod, but really wanted a good cabover for heavy haul stuff, that I could really enhance and spec with numerous add-ons like I can with 359. I maybe wouldn't mind paying for a good mod (although $20 is a lot for me) but there's nothing good, or at least very hard to find so now I'm trying that new cabover Kenny.
The final portion of the drive was extremely funny for me as a Russian. Rough road? Extreme caution? I mean... Around 'ere that's a decent pathway where you could drive at 40 mph :D
Jeff i have been a fan of u for a short time and your vids are fun to watch. My favorite series so far from u is the ocpd gta 5 rp. Keep up the good work
I had ATS drop a bridge gate right in front of my truck and I hit it full speed. There were no warning lights or super structure of the bridge, etc., the gates simply dropped in the middle of the road. It's like ATS wants you to at least have one crash before your delivery...... Other than the slight AI screw-up's, it's a great game and I too enjoy it especially with the Thrust Master Steering Wheel. I don't have a shifter, so I use the "paddles on each side of the steering wheel" to shift, works fairly good. If I had more room, I'd probably look into buying a shifter. The more realistic you can make the game, at lest for me, the better and I believe other people will like it too. I happen to like the Thrust Master wheel with all the buttons and I have all the buttons assigned, plus a few on the key-board of my lap-top that are easy to use to keep ATS as realistic as possible.........Jeff, do you ever edit out things like Some of the trip so it's not so long to the viewer or, when you are hung up and can't get free such with a over-size load, or you get a speeding ticket, etc.? I have found depending on what I'm pulling it can be rather difficult to either get out of the parking space or back into it. While some are fairly easy like the space you used today, some can be really hard, especially with an over-size load, because over-size loads almost won't back up very far without getting all cattywampus.
To be honest I don't have an issue with payware mods considering the number of payware aircraft that is in the flightsim world it seems only fair that there are some for ETS2 and ATS, and for those who don't want to buy them there are a tons of free ones out there. I agree that if someone wants to charge for the work they put into the truck if it is a good quality then it totally worth it
Certainly not $19.99 worth it, base game itself is cheaper than that, but if they were to sell them for some reasonable prices, I would have no problem with buying such mods. Though for a single truck it would have to be like $3.99, or $5 max.
You ATS videos are some of the best around. It's great to see it back. Since you have VR and No Man's Sky, you might be interested to give the new VR update a try. It's called Beyond. I don't know if you followed it at all, but it was a huge update for the game that added VR, multiplayer improvements, and a bunch of other quality of life improvements.
Floating gears in real life is so much easier then in game for one you can feel them. I’m 15 and I may not be able to drive a real truck but I have down my dirt road with my dads. I drive it a lot in parades at truck shows and stuff. It took some time in game to get used to shifting.
I don't see nothing wrong with paying for mods that are QUALITY, people don't realize it takes alot of time to create something. Not to mention people expect you to support your mod and update it with requests. Love watching ROOMMATES
Jeff, you're not passing other trucks correctly. You're suppose to pass them at no more than 2 inches per minute faster than the other truck, then your suppose to slow down to force them to do the same thing, rinse and repeat until you get to where you're going. That's how every other truck driver I've encountered on the road does it.
I’m not sure if it’s a law in every state to move over for vehicles stopped on the side of the road, but I believe it is recommended for safety and as a general courtesy. Great video as always!!
Love this game I live in the uk but have driven in the us a lot, it’s a totally different driving experience in the us than the uk. I drove from San Fran to Yellowstone this year love driving in the us
Missed you buddy. I’m part of a group of guys that makes payware mods and I’m all about it. They put in a lot of time and effort and they’ll make custom logos and stuff for your truck, for the price. So I’m all for it.
So idk if it was actually referred to this, but my dad (who is a truck driver) always referred to the 359 dash as the "corvette dash" because it kinda resembles the C2 corvette dash. And the 359 is his absolute favorite truck
Hey love watching your you tube videos am a big fan of your i have a freind that drives and i run with him a lot. he drives a kenworth t600 and own s the truck and trailer. i have been around trucking since i was about ten years old am 55 now so yes i can tell you a kenworth fro m a peterbuilt take care drive safe i am on Facebook too will be watching. And thank you jeff
Completely new to the world of ETS/ATS. Thinking of having a go at this game, see what it offers etc. Do the vehicles have a realistic weight feel to them? Also do realistic physics play a part in this game? Any responses would be greatly appreciated.
Hey Jeff, I found outlaws 379 on Modding Unlimited. I think it's just like Viper's Pete but has some more options to spec it out. Great videos keep up the good work.
When you were talking about seat height most people might not know but air ride seats are quit comical to watch when going over bumps and it sucks being in the passenger seat with no air ride seat or cab
I drive a 2020 Frieghtliner Cascadia, and the jake brake doesn’t sound no where near as cool. Although it’s way quieter so I can actually use it when I’m in cities lol

Never heard someone call it "the FE" before lol. Then again I only lived in NM for 4 years.
Man that 359 with the coffin sleeper looks to make a perfect tanker yanker
What a great mod. I'm an old school truck driver and that dash brings back fond memories.
0:50 they should add engine torque for moments like this.
Would be nice to see the front end rearing up when revving.
Carter if you turn down the suspension stiffness a little you get a little hop.
You can also get a better physics mod. I cant remember the name of the creator but I will update
@@psych3009 where is the upd?

I live in Cassville Missouri, Cool little town! Born and Raised!
My uncle had this exact truck in midnight blue. I miss the old 359s
That's pretty accurate on seat height. I'm 6'7 and I'm about around there.

I I've done thousands of miles in one of those Pete's in real life , that brought back a memory or two.
Seriously classic!
Boi, this truck is classic!!
ats sim needs that rattle sound n more bumpy road its just to perfect
Beautiful truck. Worth a couple of bucks. A bit of a bummer that i don't want to spend 20 bucks actually.
But it is a beauty. Super well done.
Great truck. I did a ride on route 101 from Los Angeles to Olympia.
So idk if it was actually referred to this, but my dad (who is a truck driver) always referred to the 359 dash as the "corvette dash" because it kinda resembles the C2 corvette dash. And the 359 is his absolute favorite truck

Hey man! Hope yer time back here in STL was pleasant. PS - Dont move back here man.
God I love peterbilt trucks
I normally don't do payware mods, but RTA is an exception. I own 4 trucks by them, and the quality is through the roof, SCS trucks don't compare.
Nice video that is a nice Pete love the 359
Glad to see ATS again
Dude move back family is the most important, i have lived away from my family for 10+ years and i wish i was in the postion to move back.
I live in New Mexico, those signs are very real haha. COOL video BRO!!
It's funny to know that New Mexico in American truck simulator has seen some minor reworks and polishing in surten areas over the years
Are you kidding? The *2006 Peterbilt 379 sleeper cab* is the true workhorse of trucks!
I mean pretty much all semi trucks are supposed to be work horses
Nice to see you back from st Louis

hui, @11:37 for a paid mod, the green light on the Weight Station indicator should light up. but the truck looks beautiful
