The Nikon Coolpix P520 camera I used does actually have stereo microphones built in but they are far too close together to really get a good stereo image. The image stabilisation is not as good as the iPhone as you will be able to notice.
That's cool Theo, the microphones are about 2 inches away from each other. Might see if I can use some external speakers with it, or wait until my brother in law let's me have his iPhone 12, lol.
@@harveysvintageaudio Yes, Harvey, I gathered that the microphones were only separated by a small degree hence I had to concentrate hard so to detect the stereo split. Yet the split was there, but you did have to listen hard for it.
