Hey bobby! Just purchased a big amount of those amazing bulkheads! Nice product, heavy duty and flawlessly finished! I can see rit away that its a buikt to last kind of product. Cheers
I may have just been convinced to go weldless. These are excellent. I'm guessing the NPT thread of various ball valves don't have problems threading completely onto the straight thread? Do you think you can improve the ball valve sometime too? They have that deadspace surrounding the ball that's not easy to clean without disassembling or running a lot of cleaner thru with it partially open. I've considered drilling a hole in one side of the ball so that the valve only seals on one side. It still doesn't help cleaning much, but at least the deadspace would be more open (& could dry out quicker after rinsing). It would especially help make the ball valve act a little more like a cheap butterfly valve on the fermenter, allowing me to take samples without trapping liquid within the valve after it's closed.
Great vid. Thanks! Just thinking about all grain, and always do 10 gal batches... Wondering if I should get a larger (15 gal) square cooler, and PVC it? Seems the 10 gal coolers work fine unless you do a BIG gravity beer, 1.085 which I do, about every 4-5 brews.
Bobby, you didn't really seemed prepared for each transition within the video. Parts are all over the viewing area, you reference some parts that aren't there at one point, and then some pauses that could have been prevented with some prep work. It would have been helpful to show the application of these bulkheads with a piece of metal with a hold cut out to simulate the kettle wall. Hopefully some helpful feedback for future videos.
+Sam Grooms I appreciate the feedback but I spend 14 hours a day at the shop doing R&D, and every other task for this growing business. The fact that I had enough time to smash a video together at all is a miracle. I've given up on scripted perfection in favor of "something" long ago.

Just picked up a used kettle and it was leaking with the standard weldless kit. Really hoping I can swap your design in and stop the constant leak!

How larg of a hole is needed? Metal hole saw, Step bit or Punch ??
