- Welcome to week 7 of our weekly Vlog series. it has taken a few weeks longer than planned to get to this point due to a few setbacks that we've had with both filming and editing. I'm glad we finally managed to get this one finished off for you guys and I'm looking forward to showing you everything that we have in store both now and in the near future.
There are some fantastic things on the horizon, we have our first ever Line marking trade morning taking place at the end of October and you can get a ticket for this by following the link below.
We also have the brand new shot blaster laser guide system which has just been released and again there is a link below for you to get hold of one of these - this will make your warehouse line marking so much more accurate and easier to Do!

Cool sunglasses. How do you remove oil based paint from pavement?
Thanks @rae08. The main problem with that is that concrete is porous and so the oil will seep in - perhaps fairly deep and leaving a permanent stain. The best bet would be to use a varnish remover (amazon or similar) as these will tackle oil bases really well, but It really depends on just how big and deep the stain has penetrated.
If you are going to use an acetone or similar, leave it to seep in for 10 - 15 minutes before trying to wash it off.
If you have some pictures or a video, tag it below and we'll be able to help more.
@@AlexCIrving This line of work is so interesting to me. I'm just curious and I enjoy watching all your videos. As a woman I totally support your channel and I'm a new subbie 🤎. Unfortunately, I can't make it to the UK for the trade😭. Hopefully you'll make clips of content if you're up to it. Do your thing! and congratulations ‼️
So glad to hear that! Thank you for the support!
We'll definitely be filming the trade morning - I've never done anything like it before and so I'll be honest honest, I'm a little bit apprehensive about how many people will turn up, will they enjoy it, can I provide enough value et cetera.
One of the things that I'm really keen on doing is travelling over to meet paint suppliers, equipment, manufacturers and other line marking installers throughout Europe and the US. I feel it would really add to the weekly Vlog series and provide a lot more inspiration for people that are looking to get involved in the industry but unsure where they would fit in and how to get started.
@@AlexCIrvingI see where your coming from. It's really about being around like minded individuals. Continue going to different locations, marketing etc. I personally think this will be on the up & up. You're doing excellent already. This just looks so fun. 😍 I wish I could do something like this. I Just enjoy watching you and your team. U got this Alex ‼️
Thanks ☺️
If you’re ever in the UK and want to give it a go, do let me know!
It’s super easy to get started with and we’re always here to support and help anyone we can, no matter where in the world 🌍
Which is harder? Floor grinding epoxy coating vs line striping?
Epoxy is 💯% harder than line striping but that doesn’t mean it should be discarded in favour of line striping.
Here in the UK 🇬🇧 the market for line striping is around £65m per annum growing at 9.4% whereas the resin flooring industry is £150m-200m and growing at 12%.
We have started with line marking as there was a lower barrier to entry with a faster learning curve and less financial requirement on equipment.
As we’re growing the line marking business, adding the resin surfacing has many advantages over offering just Line marking;
Typically you’ll have a shared client base but resin flooring does have a larger client base given that you can also do specialist areas such as pharmaceutical, comfort flooring, workshop floors, school floors et cetera. So the market in resin is an awful lot bigger.
Given that you’ll also have a shared client base, you also have a Cross sell opportunity where you can deliver the car park Line marking as well.
Generally, as the resin surfaces are all indoors, whether isn’t an issue either!
Last I would say that resin projects typically have a much higher value and a higher profit margin than Line marking and because there’s a higher barrier entry while are some very big established players, generally most people won’t invest heavy sums to get involved.
On the flipside, the Line marking industry is quite fragmented and there’s no clear market leader which means there is no opportunity to become sad market leader through a combination of brand positioning and marketing.
When it comes to preference, I still much prefer Line striping as the projects are very quick to deliver, you can get some great, diverse footage and they’re generally more fun 🤩 to work on!
