Wow you did a bomb ass job. 🥰🥰 I love your channel. I have learned so many DIY's from your channel and even did a few myself. You are awesome and you are a great source of inspiration for me. Thank you! ❤❤
It would be a crime to do laundry in such a lovely dress. I've been hooked to your channel the last two days and I'm now frantically collecting as many old clothes and men's shirts as I can lol... now...if only I could use a sewing machine🤣 but Because you're an angel you have a tutorial on how to do that too so I'll go check it out. You are the patron saint of recreation and upcycling girl, can't wait to try these things out👏👏😍😍
how do you ensure you’ll be able to fit into the dress when attaching the top and skirt parts together? surely if you do a normal stitch it’ll be too tight and you won’t be able to get it over your shoulders or hips?? x
I tried to do this on a brother sewing machine but the elastic thread was tying up under.... Should your machine be on a specific setting? What number should it be on? N btw I luv ur vids💯🔥
I’ve found that this usually happens when your elastic thread is wound too tight so try re-winding your bobbin. If that doesn’t help, adjust the tension to a higher setting and have a longer stitch length - hopefully this helps :)
Grace Kodia if you sew the sides it’ll lock the threads in place, plus once you attach it to your top the gathers will be locked in place as well so I don’t see the need to tie them
Hay! what do you do with excess materials? is there anything cool you do with them. I've made yarn with all my excess stocking materials but that's it.
Thando Coka you can make some house pillows for yourself, plushies for your pet. If the scraps are big enough you can make patch items like t-shirts, jeans or even a blanket. I even use my T-shirt scraps as hair ‘towels’ coz regular towels really dry out my hair. These are just some of the things I do with my excess fabric - the options are endless.
You know you could've overlock the edge the fold it just one for the seam😅, it would been easier🤷🏿♂️. But I understand it's good demonstration purposes for the ones who has simple methods👍🏿😌😉 #veryconsiderate #yaz2thedress 👗
You are so talented! I'm wondering if you would be interested in joining us for a friendly sewing competition Refashion Runway Season Five. I usually host this on my blog, The Renegade Seamstress, but in addition to posting there, we'll be sharing it on TH-cam also. Much like Project Runway and The Great British Sewing Bee, we’ll choose eight refashion seamstresses (or seamsters) to compete in weekly challenges. The contestants will send in before and after videos or photos. The refashions will then be scored by judges and open to a popular vote. The scores will be combined to find a weekly winner and one competitor will be out (not without a prize for participating though). At the end of the series, whoever is left will not only receive a nice prize but will be crowned the winner of Refashion Runway Season Five!!

@@FashionWizardry thanks vm 💖
Very cute!
Fave ❤
What sewing machine do you have ? Looks so easy to use 😭
Can you use a normal men’s t shirt instead of a button up long sleeve?
When you pulled in the skirt dod you just leave the thread open before you sewed the sides or did you tie it?
Grace Kodia if you sew the sides it’ll lock the threads in place, plus once you attach it to your top the gathers will be locked in place as well so I don’t see the need to tie them
Love it, thx for sharing

I’m aware of that - guess I’m just used to double folding my fabric - but both methods work great so it’s just a matter of preference :)
Fashion Wizardry got it👍🏿

Can I send my unused clothes to you and transform it? Hahahaha
