That's a nice unit and no doubt about it here's my problem with a unit like the Hannah Checkers or even the individual one like I have alkalinity and I have a pH my alkalinity test is acting up I am getting a error code I have tried everything and it's still doing the same thing this is my problem with electronic Checkers like this and if you have the Marine Master you have to send that whole thing back and now you have nothing to test your water with because that is a multi tester don't get me wrong these are pretty nice and fairly accurate but now I do not have an alkalinity test I'm going to have to go buy a salifert I can't see spending fifty bucks and this thing not even lasting a couple of years in my opinion a tester like this should last a long time I think I may be done with Hannah electronic Checkers because they always seem to act up for no reason and I have also had problems with the test cuvette the white water line flaking off I mean how hard is it to put a white line on glass and not have to worry about it coming off like I said the checkers are nice when they are new but after 5 months and not working I can't deal with that
When it comes to the Hana checkers I really like them as I am not the best with looking at colors. To me too many colors blend together and I can’t always tell them apart. I wouldn’t say I’m colorblind but I’m color deficient. That being said this checker, the master test kit, It’s not all it’s cracked up to be. No joke! I would say if you have the checkers already…this is not for you. If you are getting into this for the first time and want to get all of those…??? (Not sure why you would) then maybe it justifies the price.
To be honest, it’s just cheaper to get the ones you want/need than to buy this. It tests for 7 things but you done NEED all 7. The checkers for all of them would even come out cheaper.
That also should have added salinity to this. Maybe that would help justify the price. A good salinity meter that would not need calibration would have definitely tipped the scale in my opinion
I have the Hanna alkalinity and the Hanna pH test yes I wouldn't mind having this but the ones I have seemed to do the trick you're basically the same thing except not all-in-one I would not mind having this tester
