    Hello. I have Cameo 4 everything is fine but when cutting there is a gap, the cuts get moved.

    Thank you for the tutorial. Do I have to calibrate every time I use the pixscan?

      No, not unless you change your device

    im having the same problem. I got passed low resolution from iPhone 5 by paying for a programme to save high but now after 1 hour it still says loading. so its not calibrated. its took me 4 week to get this far..i noticed you took a pic with all the dots without the edges. I printed edge to edge..is that why? or if I took pic of it like yoi did would that make a difference. also I took the pic of the dots on the pixscan mat....

    Thank you so much for this video, I was having trouble getting mine to calibrate. I have a question too, what really makes this different from print and cut, couldn't you have done that instead of this? What makes using this feature better or different, just curious, so I know when to use one method versus the other

      Cynthia Hess several things... with this you can use the entire area of the paper whereas with P&C you lose valuable space with the registration marks. Also, you can use fabric or already printed paper to cut out designs (like cutting out a flower from fabric for an appliqué or a cat from a cute piece of cardstock). You can also use a photograph you've had printed to cut it to fit inside a round ornament or to cut away the outline of the people in it. It's not limited to just things you can print with your printer.

      Thank you, that is the part I was not understanding about being able to use other objects other than what you print...

    Thank you for the nice tutorial and the links. I don't have a pixscan mat. But my interest at the moment (besides hoping for a better 'print and cut' method) is for use in placing a piece for engraving. I'm wondering if it would offer a more precise method of placement than the eyeballing and estimating of grid lines. Any tips for that? Thx

      It could help but the drawback to a cameo is that there’s no left/right stop so making sure you’re lining it up with the guideline when loading can be the biggest hurdle but definitely one you can overcome.

      @@ElleBeeCreates Thx. I am using my Curio for engraving. I just placed an order for a Curio Pixscan mat. So will be referencing back to learn how to use it.

    I know why you added the music at 15:13, because the majority of the pixscan isers would be weaving a tapistry of profanity because their pixscan didnt register as usual!! If yours works, good on you! I have done everything possible and still get registration error!!

    Your video was a great help. I was totally missing a step. BUT - My silhouette is taking FOREVER to complete the "loading image".. It just stays at this point and never finishes. Any tips for me? I've tried taking several images of the calibration sheet, but nothing is helping.

      I’m not sure what would be causing that. I would drop an email to Silhouette support with as much detail as possible, including screengrabs, and see if they have any advice. Support@silhouetteamerica.com

    I get all the way to the cutting part and my machine runs it through but doesn't make any cuts! Do I need to use the other blade?

      Do you have your cut lines turned on? They should be bright red on the send page

    Thanks for the video... quick question... did you just get a "you used music with copyright bla bla now you're gonna share your monetization wins?" (sorry about the broken English). I used that same song and I just recently got that notice. Thanks for the video

    So there's no way to calibrate if you don't have a printer?
    I've taken 5 pictures and it keeps telling that it can't read the registration marks, which is ridiculous. I'm growing frustrated and would appreciate any suggestions.

      I was watching another video and she had the same problem and to correct it she moved the paper she was inputting into the machine slightly to the right of that blue guide line on the machine and that made all the difference and now her machine reads the registration marks. - Megan Walsh (using sons account lol)

    I did the calibration for my phone, but my pixscan is cutting like 1/8" off the lines- a huge difference :( Any tips for getting it to work right?

      Is your cameo calibrated? You can right click on the cameo on the send screen and choose calibrate and follow the instructions there. That may help

    Has anyone been successful with a 4:3 ratio phone camera calibration, or are all the successes at 16:9. I was getting the same error many people have reported. I changed the frame ratio on my phone's camera to 16:9 and had success.

    Are you printing on a regular printer for the calibration sheet?

  • @cheryls2022

    I keep getting "low resolution". I've taken about 20 pictures with my iphone 6, different lighting, cropping, emailing to myself with different sizes. Still no luck. :-(

    • @ElleBeeCreates
      @ElleBeeCreates  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is it just saying low resolution in the corner after loading or is it preventing you from being able to load the picture at all?

    • @cheryls2022
      @cheryls2022 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ElleBeeCreates On a couple of trys, I just get the blue bar showing it's loading. Then, sometimes, the blue bar disappears and gives me the resolution message. Never has the image actually showed up on the pic scan box. So, yes, it is preventing me from loading the picture. Any clue why? Thanks!
