We sang this when my mom was dieing. Just as we finished the end of the chorus she took her last breath. We sang for 3 days until she could no longer sing. She was always singing and I'm sure she's in heaven singing with the heavenly choir.
Hi Natalie, love this format! I had the wonderful privilege of seeing both my parents off to glory at different times. My father died first and mother and I fellowshipped with him singing every hymn we could think of. Dad held my hand tightly until we escorted him into the Throne room of God. Mother died when she was 95 and my wife and I fellowship with her all morning! I asked her if she wanted to eat something and she asked for ice cream. Vanilla was her favorite. So I had the infinite joy and happiness of feeding her last meal! I Gave her all she wanted! I mean she wasn’t going to have to worry about her waist anymore! She was transported to hospice around 11 AM and I went with her. She was not very conscious because her brain was damaged by dementia but I could talk to her and sing hymns to her. It seemed to me she seemed to be trying to hold on, so I said to her about 3:30 pm, mother, you can go to Jesus now. Carol and I doing fine and I’ve got everything covered. I pointed to the of the bed and said look Mom there’s Jesus at the end of the bed with His hand out! We then watched with the nurse as her pulse slowly failed and about 3:40pm she took her last earthly breath and stepped to the loving arms her loving Savior! Still 2 of my most meaningful life events! Blessings and thanks for your ministry to me!
A beautiful song beautifully performed. I'm looking forward to seeing my mother again in Heaven. Ten and a half years today since she went to her true home with our Savior after an outstanding time of service and faith in this world.
Natalie, Thank you for these hymns with the words we can sing along with. I really miss these. I wish churches would go back to these wonderful old songs. (sigh).
@@noturningback2023 So the Bible tells us we can only sing a song once? Because, after we sing it once, it is no longer 'new'. I have been studying God's Word for over 50 years and I have never come across a verse that says God is tired of hearing 'worn out hymns.' Please handle God's Word with care and do not try to make it say things it does not say or mean. Read it for what it says. Then you will find God's Word to be rich and rewarding. - from an old 'worn-out' saint.
Thank you for the beautiful hymns you play… You are like a breath of fresh air these are hymns that I grew up with and they no longer are sung or played in churches today I miss that so much… You are such a blessing God be with you
Your Heavenly Father gave you a gift and it's been such a blessing that you have shared it with your family in Christ. By God's grace "When we all get to heaven" you will hear, "Well done good and faithful servant." Thank you sister Natalie.
Can you imagine the people like myself who can't sing worth a hoot but sing to Jesus with this music? :-) Makes me feel good and my cat seems to like it.
When I was little I never cared about the older gospel songs but now that I'm older I'm actually staring to like them more, they have this nostalgic feel to them.
Words by Eliza Hewitt, music by Mrs. J.G. Wilson which blended into a hymn that has blessed many. Nothing would do me as a child to take up brass instruments and have missed out on a lot by not choosing piano instead. I'm glad I gave my trombone away 10 years ago. Very well done and have been blessed!
When it says with lyrics I wish TH-cam would let you know if that person is singing or not this song was done well but wish TH-cam had a way of saying if the artist was going to be singing or not
This is just Heaven! It reminds me so much of my childhood when my Father used to play for us all to sing. I'm a tenor and he was a nightmare to sing harmony; you didnt match at all and if you said that tio him he would say "No, my harmony is much better thyan that in the book" He was right too! Love the left hand runs for emphasis! Blessings! .
- Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. 😎💨✨
Love to hear you play the piano. When we all get to heaven! One man said on his way to heaven he was going to fly over the milky way and do handsprings off the big dipper. I guess he is excited what is awaiting him. Heaven Is for real we got to say no to sin to make it.
Love that you have the words. Now everyone can get their families together and sing along. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord. May it never end. Yes we will sing and shout the victory.
Hey everyone, I'm from Cocke County, TN, near the Great Smoky Mountains. I've been playing the piano over 23 years, but I play by ear. I've always loved to sing and play this song. I can't play in D flat (the key it's written in), so I play it in C. Some of us here sing it at a little slower pace, but we still enjoy the song. Never gets old.
If you get a mid-level keyboard, you can play in your key and tap the button to have it come out to the key you want. On guitar, it's a mechanical clamp they call a capo or Kapo . On my Yamaha keyboard, it's even easier. Why don't you practice up some more and there are small churches and nursing homes that would love to have you play. Let's make our remaining days count for the Lord. , Mark W from South Jersey.
You have exceeded my expectations! Thanks so much for putting the words on the screen, that's awesome, and they are large enough and plain enough to easily follow along, this is great!!!
Everytime I play a video of yours my 2 year old says "that Natty Raynes?" 😁😁 your very famous in my house. Really all 5 of my kids can tell if it's you I'm watching. Haha. Thanks for all the videos & tutorials, their very helpful. I started playing congregational 2 years ago & I take it one service at a time. Haha...it can be very stressful. I can read music, but don't sight read well..I mostly play by ear. Anyway just wanted to say I appreciate all your videos!
Tkq very much sister in Christ. When you playing, there has verses to sing together with piano music. Tkq. Recently I oso longing back to heaven if the time comes..😊🤲🙏🙏🙏.how wonderful with Jesus face to face .isn't it's beatiful and rest all the labour..
I wish you would do a tutorial on Living In Canaan Now from the Red Back! I’ve seen you play it but I’d love a tutorial, in C if you love me 😂 it’s the first song I learned to play on the piano (I’m self taught) and it still gives me the most trouble!
I see those beautiful guitars in the background. It is a shame that someone in your home doesnt put those to good use while you are playing. Perhaps putting guitar chords in the description of your songs?
