    • @chrisberry3146
      @chrisberry3146 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Blackhawk556. if your cooking at 225 cook for about 3 hours until there around 160then wrap in foil for abt 2 hours then sauce for 1 hour unwrapped. Cook until there abt 202 internal temp or no pull when you poke it with a tooth pick

    • @Blackhawk556.
      @Blackhawk556. 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@chrisberry3146 I have the pit boss KC combo and I’m starting to think it’s defective. I bought it 3 weeks ago. Here’s why. I literally have a pork shoulder (pulled pork) smoking right this second and it’s been in there for 10.5 hours! I started it at 250 and internal temp stalled at 127 after 7 hours! I’ve increased the temp to 250 and internal temp finally reached 160 right now. This can’t be normal.
      Last weekend I smoked ribs when replied to you and same issue. internal Temp just won’t reach what it’s suppose to.
      I smoked burgers right after my purchase and even those small patties took over 2 hours to reach the internal temp I was looking for when set to 275.

    • @chrisberry3146
      @chrisberry3146 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Blackhawk556. are you going to wrap the pork butt?? That might help you with the stall but yeah your smoker might be defective I have a pit barrel so I’m using charcoal and wood chunks. My friends who have pellet smokers takes a lot longer than my pbc

    • @Blackhawk556.
      @Blackhawk556. 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@chrisberry3146 yes I wrapped it but even then temp is barely going up. I have it up to 350 and internal is at 179 finally. When I wrapped it earlier, I increased temp to 275 but temp didn’t increase.
      Once I started increasing temp to 325-350 is when I started seeing progress. I got so fed up I bought Panda Express for dinner 😂. I have a feeling this shoulder is going to be drier than the Sahara desert.
      I think it might reach 200 internally in the next 45 min.
      All the videos I’ve seen online on how to smoke pulled pork take about 5 hours to reach 160 internal when set to 275. I know I started at 250 but 11 hours later and to barely be at 183 now is too long.

    Hey Kosmo... what was your cooker temp?? I'm new to the PBC and for my first try I did SLS ribs. However, I had a planned dinner time, roughly. At a suggestion, I tried the "snake" method... My cooker only came up to 223° and even after opening the hole, It came to 243°.. I had to pull them and finish on the Traeger. So, what was your temp.. ? I'm guessing mine was due to too few coals burning.. Thoughts??

    • @KosmosQ

      Cooked them around 275ºF (135ºC), but definitely had to add more coals to keep it going at that temp. Try that next time around!

    More than likely you will love anything you get from Kosmos. But even if you hate it the service is unbelievable. I make my order from Texas and without fail two days later I got my stuff without having to pay exorbitant shipping charges. Well packaged well labeled. Hell I have been on my way out the door and found package. I put it in the truck with me to try them RIGHT NOW! Lol
    Driving down the road sticky crap all over my hand like an Okie. His stuff is that good. Stupid good as he says. And don't be afraid to mix and match with others seasonings you like. I use a lot of rub seasoning from Killer Hogs, Oak Ridge, Rib Tickler and others. Kosmos is right at the top. And his glazes and sauces are over-the-top good. Lately I have been on a Dirty Bird underneath Hot Cow Cover for everything tear. Chicken ribs brisket you name it. I prefer dry ribs but lots of my family wants them wet. I always taste it right before I sauce to see what I want. If I'm going to glaze/sauce chicken or ribs I will usually hit it with a little extra salt or something like bad Byrons that is extra salty before I hit it with the sweet rub.Good stuff. Now I'm hungry. Went and got my tongue hard.

      No brother I appreciate you because you make some of the best rubs in the world my family loves it. My wife loves it and I just bought some cherry apple habanero rib glaze at Buckys and I can’t wait to use it on ribs. Keep up the awesome work my brother.
