    But I can honestly say You know every topic almost equally and u have made me recall all what I did not understand more than 20yrs ago in my college days. Great

    I love your imense expertise and vast knowledge of physics. And you dumb it down so I can understand things that used to limited me, because I have so many questions. This is Kahn Academy x 10

    In example 1, these can't be right angled triangles - if that is the intention. By Pythagoras the hypotenuse of ABC is 8.49mm and DEF hypotenuse is 5.66mm. Therefore the side ratios are not 3/2. Therefore the triangles are not similar

    If two sides have the same ratio, wouldn't the third side automatically have a number that equals? I get that in an example any number can be entered so obviously you would have to calculate all three sides.

      Yes, exactly. If I was calculating the third ratio, I was mostly doing it to prove that it is true, but you are correct.

    What about the angles?

    I have just started watching your tutorials and they are really making learning easy. I wish I knew this channel years ago. I have watched and seen you have lessons way back to about six yrs ago. How do I know the batch of each subject duration. For example chemistry, how do I know am downloading a repeated lesson or lesson not linked to the current batch?. I hope my question is understood

    Isnt it over-complicating things a bit? As soon as you'd use the angles, the whole thing becomes much easier to calculate, isnt it? At least for triangles.

    • @MathAndScience
      @MathAndScience  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The whole point is that I haven’t given you any angles. This lesson shows how to figure out if two triangles are similar without knowing the angles.

      @@MathAndScience Ah... So you are trying to use the minimum of possible info. Got it, thanks for answer. Not trying to be a smart arse, just trying to understand the why of it. Its absolutely magical to see these things and recall my own school years at 44 y/o, so thanks teach! :D
