These are fabulous. Reliable, comfortable, quiet.
If the previous owner had a pet, make sure you clean out the battery fan vents/grills.
169,000 is nothing on Lexus as long as you keep a good maintenance on yearly basis. I owned a RX450H 2009 on 200,000 and NX300H on 100,000 they both drive like a brand new car s. I have driven only Lexus since 2003. Great brand for comfort and reliability❤️
Good to know as im looking at Lexus, used, as a very long term purchase in my 50s. It needs to last me at least ten years plus.
I got 215k miles on my 450h bought it with 130k miles all I do is change oil with high quality oil and use marvel oil at every oil change. I use regular gas
Good to know that my follow British Asian brothers are making TH-cam car 🚙 content keep up the good work mate!
Thank you for your words of encouragement 😊
What year and how much did you pay for?
Hi there. I am interested in buying this car. Where about are you?
I'm in London. You can email me sutsicars@yahoo.com
It's not the miles, it's the age of the hybrid battery.
mine is now 13years old, still ok so far.
Im seeing a lot of these coming up for sale so I looked up the expected battery lifespan. Yep, theyre all coming due. Price? According to Google: "The average cost for a Lexus RX450h Hybrid High Voltage Battery Replacement is between $6,779 and $6,892. Labor costs are estimated between $432 and $545 while parts are priced between $6,347 and $6,347."
The hybrid systems are actually quite robust and practically only thing major that goes wrong on them...compare that to the equivalent BMW X5 or Merc ML and the maintenance costs are tiny for the RX. Also even if you need to change hybrid unit, as it's a Toyota part there are so many hybrid specialists now who will supply and fit replacement with guarantee for around £2k. The prices you have quoted are most likely dealership.
If you care for your battery, (like cleaning the dog hair away from those vents on the back floorboards) and don’t overheat it, it will last well into 200K-300K.
Towing something with that car? Could be a factor…
I have 220k miles on a 2010 RX450H factory batteries. A big plus that often isn’t mentioned about hybrids is how much less often you need to replace brake pads as you use them less due to the regenerative braking effect. Though I do feel the extra torque off the line wears out the front tires and shocks slightly more quickly.
You can get one installed for 3000
That’s why I avoid the hybrids in the RX line tbh. I’ve owned multiple RXs and they’re great cars. I test drove a one of these and they’re whisper quiet I have to say
yah done good… a bargain for sure!
The hood is not aligned to the fender. Been crashed?
No crash history on that car. Might be how I dropped the bonnet back down.
Just picked up a 2005 Lexus RX 330 with 170 K miles… these things are bulletproof… If you can try to get one made in Japan… I do worry that this Las Vegas heat will make that clear coat start flaking…. The best part my Lexus came with the steering wheel on the correct side of the car..LOL
Lol
What the price
Hey, is this still available? Thanks
Sorry it's now sold
@@sutsi oh no, never mind. I’m after one of these. How much did it sell for?
I love these cars but just been told they are number 5 on the most stolen suv in the uk.
When there's only 5 luxury SUV brands and this is no5 then that's a good thing. Thieves too busy stealing Land Rovers, BMW, MERC & AUDI. So for a luxury brand it's pretty good ☺️
10mpg average?! What the....
Lol ignore that...I had just reset and car was on idle charging up the 12v battery, hence the low mpg indicated... usually get mid 30 mpg usually on the 450h
I heard those are expensive to repair
Yes it is expensive but if you compare like for like in terms of other executive 4*4 then it's about the same, with key difference being these are more robust, so that those expensive days are fewer in number over the typical ownership period.
@@sutsi ok, that’s good
@sutsi What do you constitute as expensive? I drive a Lexus iS300h and other than the fuel consumption, I cant see it being massive more expensive to run? Cheers
@@mariosavva999the IS300h is amazing but I think the RX450h is more expensive because it's a v6 and when you're gonna have to change some big parts (although it's very reliable it will happen) it will be as expensive as a Q7, X5...
I have a CT200h and was interested in a 2012 RX but I think that for the same price I will get a nice IS or NX.
