    It’s like an entirely different world in my own country! I was born, and have live all of my 49 years in Toronto, BUT, love to escape the city and explore this great nation of ours, because there’s just so much to see and do. It’s a shame so many Canadians travel more outside their own country then in it. I’ve been to every territory and province, and ALL are equally beautiful in their own unique way. Admittedly, I’m a city boy, and I do love my city, but it’s also so nice to see just how massive Canada truly is! I have family in every province and territory, so I made it my mission to meet them all before I hit 50, just have Iqaluit left, so thanks for the video, now I can’t wait to see it for myself this summer!

      TJ Devereaux thank you another Canadian who shares my desire to travel everywhere and i mean everywhere in Canada to the border line coast to coast to coast. Btw what places have you been in Nunavut?

      I was telling a friend (not canadian) that I watched these videos of this one couple travelling across Canada and that they went to nunavut, and he was like, so they travelled the country but didn't go to any of it, what? Hahah

    I think this is one of the finest video productions ever. And, it's all about one of our favorite cities, one that DEWline workers once knew as the "Miami of the Arctic"

    I'm thinking about hiking around there in July. How annoying are the flies that time of year? I can't stand nats flying in front of my eyes all the time.

    Great video! Awesome place.
    Something that I'd like to know is how are the sun hours in summer, I mean, at what time is the sunrise and the same for the sundown...

      I believe it does not go down at all during parts of the summer. It stays up 24 hours of the day.

    I still can't get over the forecast this week of Feb 2 to Feb 12.Minus 43 for Monday and Tuesday. Minus 35 or colder all week.I would like to hear from locals about the Jan cold. I know your used to it, but minus 45 degrees is crazy.

      I first saw Frobisher Bay aka Iqaluit in May 1953. I last saw it in late 1980. Forget any debates, take it from me . . you owe yourself a visit to Iqaluit and the opportunity to explore all of Qikiqtaaluk Region. Consider "Toonik Time" to start off your introduction to the Arctic. Bon voyage!

    • @bloqk16
      @bloqk16 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@eloquentia7207 Generally polar bears prefer staying along the coastal areas where food is to be had, as there is little to be found on the interior of large islands.

    And truly, the government should just butt out and let the people handle shit themselves. They got it. They dont need you.

      If you have been there this winter, you are experiencing a very frigid winter. My hobby is weather and Dec, Jan and now Feb, especially Jan. The first 7 days of Feb are all minus 32 or colder and next Monday and Tuesday are minus 41 and minus 43. That is crazy cold. I noticed there were cold warnings. Crazy cold.
