Yes, I hear the 80s, but not the disco.
A party during a plague is probably going to be referring at least somewhat to Masque of the Red Death, so attempting to put off inevitable disaster. He doesn't want the night/party to end because he believes the relationship will end with it.
I haven't seen the band's explanation of the phrase "dance macabre" anywhere else and I don't think it's correct, but it works in the context of the song.
    Thanks for posting.

Nice! However Dance Macabre is probably their poppiest song, along with *Mary On A Cross* (which I prefer out of the two - the Tampa live version is excellent).
Try *Cirice* (just brilliant) and a more modern equivalent, *Call Me Little Sunshine* from the Impera album (the slightly longer, album version is better). Both heavy and comforting, but in a very dark way that draws you in. I tend to put those two together in my mind, though they are 7 years apart.
For even heavier Ghost, try *Faith,* (from a Pale Tour Named Death) or *Mummy Dust.* And the wonderful *Absolution.*
For sheer beauty, try *He Is* or *Life Eternal* (from the video of fan footage in Mexico City). Also *Darkness At the Heart of My Love.*
    Subscribed!

Hiya, love your reactions... But for Ghost, the older you go the better it gets.
Try something like "Year Zero" or "Depth of Satan's Eyes".
    Keep up the good work!

The only Ghost song I have heard that I like is Cirice. The rest I could do without. Good to see you doing reactions

I'll have to try that one next. So far I'm in love with Rats and Square Hammer. The others are nice, I don't hate them, but nothing I really listen to.

Just listen, don't critique. Then tell me you are not a fan. ;) Rock on dude, much love whether you like Ghost or not, keep on keeping on. :)

@@manna6618 Whats funny or strange about me is My favorite 2 bands are Black Sabbath and Megadeth. My favorite album is from Blind Melon, Soup, and my favorite song is from Zebra, Who's Behind The Door. I love Chris Cornell's voice and is in the top 5 voices ever but I really don't like too many Soundgarden or Audioslave songs. 5 or 6. In This Moment and Avatar are also really high on my list of bands along with Slipknot and Mushroomhead. I'm all over the place with what I like and listen to. Right now I'm listening to Krokus. Depends on mood. Favorite guitarist, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Dimebag Darrell.Drummers, Neil Peart and Nick Menza. Bass, Steve Harris and Les Claypool
      Peace

@@dvaderwasframed impressive list! I only commented really coz at first I dismissed Ghost and was like I am not into that satanic shite... but after hearing their cover of Maiden's Phantom of the Opera as a musician myself I had to revisit their music. And then had to eat humble pie, I was completely wrong about them. Not every song is my fave but they honestly have a HEAP of catchy tunes in their playlist hey! Oh and one of my fave gigs ever was a Mushroomhead show, they went drinking with the crowd after the concert, awesome guys. :)
