Looking at this season let's understand two factors that impacted what many consider a disappointing one. First is the Tigers playing to the level of the competition. Their best performances were at FSU and at Tulane. Both road games that this team stepped up their focus and overall play - Ws for both those. It showed a level of achievement that they are capable of. The second is less obvious and it relates to how every team they struggled with or even lost to had the Tigers game circled on their schedule. It was likely the opppnents' biggest game of the year and THEY stepped up their efforts in order to get that big win. Good programs are a target and the Tigers have to find a way to counter that mindset to avoid substandard performance that lead to close wins or bad losses. Coach S needs to address that factor going forward. Still, a solid season. Next year will be Silverfield's biggest challenge as HC of the Tigers. Should be interesting.
