【 雷生春 】
1931年に中医師の雷亮さんが病院、薬局兼自宅として建てた戦前唐楼です。
しばらく放置されていましたが、リノベーションを経て2012年に「香港浸會大學中醫藥學院 雷生春堂」として復活しました。
青山道301-303号と同様に戦前の騎楼式唐楼で交差点に面した角を丸くしてある数少ない建物です。
バルコニー部分は窓を造り、待合室にしてあり、雷生春の歴史なども展示してあるようです。
申し込みをすればバルコニー部分の見学が可能です。
【 広東道1235号 】
歩いているときに偶然見つけた唐楼で来歴は不明です。
形からすると第二世代唐楼ではないかと思います。
GFは美容室で1Fは陶芸教室になっているようです。
白い塗装に柱の装飾部分の緑色がアクセントになっていてとても美しい建物です。
GFの中二階も上手にリノベして利用されています。
正面右側奥の柱に少しだけ昔の面影が見て取れます。
【 太子道西190-212号】
1932年に建てられた戦前洋楼です。
共用階段室や裏の外階段など唐楼と洋楼が折衷した感じの造りです。
濃い茶色の窓枠と白い外壁がとてもシックで美しい建物です。
フラワーマーケットの太子道西に面しており、GFは花屋が多く、建物の外観と非常にマッチしています。
【上海街618号】
商業施設にリノベされた、1920年代に建てられた唐楼です。
騎楼の柱やファサードには且つての店舗名がそのまま残されおり、フォントも魅力的で年季の入った感じがカッコイイです。

[ Lai Seng Chun ]
This pre-war Tong Lau was built in 1931 by Chinese doctor Lei Liang as a hospital, pharmacy and home.
It was left abandoned for a while, but after renovation it was reopened in 2012 as "Hong Kong Baptist University Chinese Medicine School Lui Seng Chun Hall."
Like 301-303 Aoyama Road, it is a pre-war cavalier-style tong-lau and is one of the few buildings with rounded corners facing an intersection.
Windows have been added to the balcony area, making it a waiting room, and it seems there is an exhibition on the history of Lui Seng Chun.
You can tour the balcony area by making a reservation.
[ 1235 Canton Road ]
I came across this Tong Lau by chance while walking, but its history is unknown.
Judging from its shape, I think it's a second-generation Tong Lau.
The ground floor is a beauty salon, and the first floor seems to be a pottery studio.
It's a beautiful building, with a white paintwork accented by the green decorative parts on the pillars.
The mezzanine floor on the ground floor has also been skillfully renovated and is now in use.
You can see a slight resemblance to the old days in the pillar at the back right of the front.
[ 190-212 Prince Edward Road West ]
This pre-war Western-style building was built in 1932.
It has a combination of Tong-style and Western-style architecture, with a shared staircase and an exterior staircase at the back.
The building's dark brown window frames and white exterior walls make for a very chic and beautiful building.
It faces Prince Edward Road West, where the flower market is located, and there are many florists on the ground floor, which matches the exterior of the building very well.
[ 618 Shanghai Street ]
This Tong Lau was built in the 1920s and has been renovated into a commercial facility.
The original store names remain on the pillars and facade of the tong tower, and the font is attractive and has a cool, aged feel.
