  • Hello !
    I present the model of the ship "Ark Germania"
    Printed with Bambu Lab P1S and AMS. Printed with almost no post processing, straight from the printer. Only the underwater part was painted with spray paint.
    She sail very nice. I found no leakage after 20 minutes in water.
    I described the details in the "manual" file available for download together with the model.

    I hope to see an oil tanker model of the same size! Great work!

    Nice looking boat there! Bravo! How does the bowthruster design perform? I Like it and would be tempted to try something similar on a futur build if your's performs well. Once againe good job and nice build video!

      Thank you! So there is no so much power, but with weak wind thrust is useful. Anyway before I put it in to the model I made few experiments with different versions and it works good enough for me. I believe that more rpms could generate much more thrust, but I didn't check it.

      @@mateuszmalinowski9885 thanks for your answer. I'd like to try something similar soon.
      By the way, I like the way you assembled your boat. I should use some silicone on my builds too. Have fun with your next project and thanks for sharing them.

    Making progress! Question- Do you think the rudder size is sufficient? Contemplating a 10-20% increase for better maneuverability

      @mateuszmalinowski9885  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In my opinion, it's ok. The first time I tried it, I used a 3-blade 40 propeller and I was not satisfied. I changed to 4 Blade 50 and it was much better.

    • @skupper672
      @skupper672 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      how much clearance did you have between the blade and the hull?@@mateuszmalinowski9885

    Hi there!- I started printing! Question- What filament did you print with? PLA?

    • @mateuszmalinowski9885
      @mateuszmalinowski9885  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I've made with pla, but remember that pla is very sensitive for heat. Even sunnny day on shelve can cause deformation. In that point PetG would be better.

    • @skupper672
      @skupper672 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks. Ive heard the same. I have started with PLA “tough” filament and intend to epoxy coat and paint the hull. I may use PTEG for the topsides. On another note, after i build this I would like to utilize the same hull (because its genius) and convert the topsides and superstructure to a tanker. Only the stern hull section will need to be redesigned for a singled propeller. Deck needs piping and manifold and the superstructure made small and moved aft. Dont know how to do this but will try to figure it out…. (If you want to attempt to design that for me maybe we can talk about hiring you to design what i am looking for?) @@mateuszmalinowski9885

    So if you want to redesign much better will be to use step files instead of stl. Just now I'm quite busy with other project. Maybe some day I will start with tanker vessel but just now I working with crane ship. As my experience shows, ussualy it's easier to make new hull than redesign other. But it's just my opinion.

      Thank you for your insight! Appreciate your response. I have finished printing out the Hall today, and I am in the process of getting it ready for assembly. I have all the parts on hand I will not be programming the receiver like you did, but rather a premade radio unit. I think it’ll work the same. Looking forward to your new designs!

      Question what program did you use to design it?

    • @mateuszmalinowski9885
      @mateuszmalinowski9885  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I used PLA, but remember that PLA is not heat resistant, so even on a sunny day it may deform.

      I am keen to get this started but I know nothing about arduio. Is there an off the shelf system that you recommend for this model? I dont want to lose any functionality. Thanks for your work on this model.

      @@skupper672 I'm Sure there is other way, but i found myself arduino easiest and to be honest I do not know other way . Anyway, With this arduino motor shield circuit is really easy. Uploading code to arduino is very easy as well. There is plenty of guides on youtube, even in my video with "black pike" Open sketch wit arduinio ide--> upload sketch to arduino--> put motor shield on arduino---> connect motors and receiver ---> power up---> configure transmitter as I show in manual. Thats all. But of course you can look for other solution, but just now I don't know how to help.

      Hello Friend - I can only find 1 STL (stern section) on thing verse and only one section in the rar when I extracted it. Is the rest of the ship located somewhere else? @@mateuszmalinowski9885
