Pro tip if you find a set and one of the set is going to be super rare get that one while it cheap. Example the green sour patch was a ECCC exclusive is currently valued at $270 the other ones sell less then $20.
I’m super late to this video but you’re the first fellow collector I’ve come across on TH-cam to actually show a Son of Zorn Pop! and that made me happy LOL
My partner and I just started doing this and are doing pretty well actually. I don’t know if Half Price Books is a National store but here in Minnesota they buy used pops and almost consistently sell them way lower than the pop is worth. Instead of making a few bucks off of Walmart or Target pops, I’ve made enough to survive without my daytime job in a little over two weeks, thanks to old ladies who don’t understand the value! Most of them are sold for $5-10 even though they’re worth much more. I’m not sure where they check for prices but I’m definitely not complaining! Also buying a lot or bundle of 25-50 pops on eBay or maybe garage sale can be like a jackpot depending on what they are.
I just got a job at a toy store and my plan is to buy as much rare stuff as I find and resell and since my main job is stocking I will be the first one in on every product I'm looking for living a dream I am at just 17
yes but you have to be very careful with them. also, it de values the pop since it was taken out of box. people are picky on condition and if there were taken out.
Why can't you scale it into a huge business? I mean if you can flip a few hundred of them for a few bucks profit a piece why couldn't you buy thousands and flip them all?
Not enough stock and varies to buying bulk a lot, its niche and just selling the one product won’t make you rich. I started flipping pops seriously start of year maybe made around 30k. You won’t get rich but nice side hustle. If you want serious coin expand to other things like lego, TCG, pop’s, collectables etc buy bulk and flip. Also listing, photos, postage takes time.
Hi great video :) I have several questions though, I'm not living in the US can I cop exclusive Pops online? How do you know which ones are going to be the most profitable?
I'm not sure about buying outside the US. It's hard to know what ones will be most profitable until they've been out a few days and sold online. Generally, the ones that look like they have the least on the shelves or are a special edition (like floacked or chase) are the best bet
Release dates are usually given as a month, like releasing December 2018 when the info is put out by Funko. This is because each store seems to stock there's at different times. It's easiest to ask at the store when they get there shipments in (usually the same day every week) or just pay attention to what days the shelves are fullest as those are likely the days it has been restocked
App for iOS is called funko
its a great app
Thank you 🙏
Thanks bud. I’ve been collecting for 4 months now & surprised @ the value of my collection. The space jam ones are going to make me rich lol
I use hobby db

See that's what always happens dang employees take the chase and don't event put them on shelf
menace to society
Dang I can't believe I've never thought about working for a toy store, just to find the rares🤔
Most ive made off a single pop was the marvel collectors corps Venom. Sold it for $60
Which pops you got
What did u buy it for
Nice, I bought a Muscle man for $13, & sold it for $155 only cause it was pretty stained up, or else I would've sold it for $170+
Stan Lee Funko pop has gone up in price the Walmart ones too! A lot of Walmart’s have them still :)
Shiny Chesnaught Stan lee is now $100
I found a lot on ebay for 20 dollars that includes the og squidward
That's sick
Thank you for making this video !
Is there an app or website that will tell me how many of a certain pop the company made?
It's no number if it's rare it will have a sticker saying how many is made then you have vaulted pop that is retired .
Thanks, that was really helpful especially the part where you do math, I was worried for a minute.
can you open them for display, then later return to box to sell?
yes but you have to be very careful with them. also, it de values the pop since it was taken out of box. people are picky on condition and if there were taken out.
Lol I gave Steve with bandana away to my little sister. I knew how rare he was. 😅
So you’re a scalper ?
Why can't you scale it into a huge business? I mean if you can flip a few hundred of them for a few bucks profit a piece why couldn't you buy thousands and flip them all?
