The farmhouse or cottage look is my favourite, so I’m glad to hear it’s making a comeback, I’m a quilter so I like using my quilts to change the look of my rooms and make it look unique and cosy too ❤
I love quilts too!
Thank you for presenting the information so clearly without a ton of talk and explanation. I really enjoyed this video and hope to see more soon.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yes ❤ I am so tired of rambling on videos 😢.
Ditto!!! 👏
Wow, this was great. You did a fine job of showcasing each piece.
Thank you
Thanks I'm glad you liked it!
GREAT video. You got right to the point, and each choice was very interesting to learn about. Can’t wait to learn more from you.
Thanks! I never know if it’s too fast
My little barn apartment leans into this style and it is easy to change up. Even painting one wall a new cottage color makes a whole new refresher.
Sounds very cozy.
Thank you! I love that pillow ticking and real wood!
Me too, it's so classic!
I’m binging ikea because they are building New Zealand’s first IKEA this year! Woo hooo!
It's so fun to walk through!
Have fun!!!!❤
Well it has taken IKEA a good while but they are finally producing lines that appeal to someone over the age of 20. I really do like the new styles they’re getting into
Me too. But now even the young people are into antiques
So devoted to classics by way of all things affordable at IKEA…the displays are phenomenal as are the photos…genius people putting the success of IKEA first across the globe, thank you for this video, Andrea ❤️❤️❤️
great video Andrea! I didn't know about most of these pieces at IKEA. Now I need those parsons chairs. I wouldn't of minded if you talked about each piece even a little longer or maybe showed similar pieces with a high price point. I really could've listened to you longer. 😃
This is very helpful feedback. Thanks! I’m always worried it will be too boring
@ Not boring at all...especially for us design enthusiasts. I could listen to design talk all day long. I'm hooked on @Homeworthy because of you.😆
This is so helpful. Last week I came out from NYS to Massachusetts to visit my sister. I hadn’t been to IKEA in almost 10 years and really wanted to go to IKEA. Off we went to Stoughton. We were there about 5 hours! Wow, I was very impressed. We both picked up things we needed. There is so much to see! The prices are very realistic, reasonable. Yes, much has improved since many years ago. I really encourage people to go take a mini vacation to an IKEA store (if it is a distance away) if you find things you like you can have the items shipped home. It’s a win-win. Thank you so much.
Mini vacation I love that. I’ve definitely been multiple days in a row and there’s something different every visit.
I love ticking! These were some great pieces. Thank you for sharing your favorites! - Michelle
I love ticking too!
everything youve selected is beautiful
thanks!
Love this video! I’m helping a friend move to a new condo and combine antiques with more casual pieces. Thanks for the inspirations.
I hope your friend loves her new condo!
Very helpful and right to the point!!Congrats!!Love it!!🎉🎉❤
thanks!
Great tips and very nice video. Thank you.
My pleasure!
that jute rug is gorgeous
Agree
Really affordable too. There are lots of affordable jute rugs.
I like your video and the fact that you propose the cottage style!
Thanks
Thank you
At my local IKEA, I am quite fond of looking in their "as is" room! Items returned, at marked down prices.
That’s a great way to snag a deal.
You have a local IKEA? I want to live with you immediately!
I had no idea! Love it all. Thanks for sharing this!
I'm glad you liked it!
New to your channel and enjoyed this plethera of ideas fir a seemless mi and match. Well presented. I also found mentioning the prices very helpful! 🎉
Great tip!
Great information. Especially the company that can make slip covers. Our house is Cozy Cottage white and Ethan Allen 1970s 😮
This is not the only company. There are several others on Etsy. Lots of options.
Great job on this project ❤
Thank you so much!
So many bits and bobs from my own home. I love ikeas cottage style stuff, but a few I didn’t know about in this video 😊
Glad you liked it!!
Thanks for sharing with us
My pleasure!
Thank you Andrea 🙏
thanks for these good options from IKEA... I def. need to check out their accessories! 😊
So much good stuff if you’re lucky enough to go in person geographically
I wish we had one near us. I love Ikea
They deliver if you really love something. It's worth it for the larger case goods unless you have an SUV. I tried to find a less expensive solution for some tall wardrobes, nothing even came close to their price.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks!
Thanks! I’m glad you liked it!
thanks for the good video.
We are going to purchase the hemnes cabinet. We just haven't decided on the brown/black with wood shelves, or the red with wood shelves.
Going to look at those upholstered chairs. Thanks!
The hemnes is a classic. I hope you love it!
A great video ...lovely presentation , really well explained ❤ newly subscribed ❤
Thanks and welcome
Great, thanks!
I’m glad you liked it!
I enjoyed this video. I love the way Ikea products are so versatile. Here in Western Australia, some new items take a while to get here. Thanks for the styling tips.
Worth the wait for some things
Shop somewhere else.
Great vid! Sure wish there was an Ikea near me.
You can still order online!
Hi! Thanks! 🤗🥰
You’re welcome 😊
Is the jute rug indoor/ outdoor? Great video!!
Thanks! Jute CAN be used outside if it's not in a humid or moist area.
I feel like cottage core is just the country version of British arts and crafts. But really, the cozy ruffles, layered textiles etc comes from that era.
Yes I agree! It’s definitely not a new style just a renaming of an old one. But I’m seeing it in lots of “2025” trend videos.
I have had many different styles in my homemaking life. My only advice is this: buy core pieces that you love and don't get rid of them. Just update colors and decor. So invest in hutch, dining room table, wood pieces for living room and good dressers and beds. I let so many great pieces go that I wish I had kept. I do still have my 1940's front room tables and some of my mom's pieces. Art and lamps and paint colors come and go.
That is great advice! It's easy to get caught up in trends but classic pieces always stand the test of time.
🎉Interessante 😊
Can you paint Hemnes? Do you need to sand down etc etc?
Yes it is paintable. Look at Pinterest and type in hemnes Painted.
I was interested in This Rocksjon chair and went to IKEA website -- USA reviews were one star. Do you check this before suggesting the item?
Yes I’ve been to IKEA and sat in the chair myself. It isn’t a cuddle up chair like the Uppland but I really like them. So I disagree with the review
I wonder if they sell that dark green in paint.
You could get a paint match
I wish they would offer natural wood color.
They add new finishes all the time, so maybe you're not the only one.
Ikea used to do some lovely cottagey textiles but they seem to have gone a bit grey & geo lately.
Have you looked at the bedding, NÄSSELKLOCKA is a really cute cottage pattern and KÄRRDUNÖRT. And they've got a few VILDPERSILJA pillows that have a cute print and IDALINNEA. I agree, it's not the majority but there are some really cute prints.
Plus millions of other people have the same stuff. How utterly creative of you all.😂😂instead why not go to flea markets, second hand stalls, yard sales, charity shops etc etc ,where you can buy cheap, sturdy, old authentic well made furniture and unusual things that NO ONE ELSE HAS.You will have objects that will gain value, have a soul and a story to tell and that you can hand down to future generations !!! Personally i find Ikea brilliant for small areas, from tiny entry ways to tiny laundry rooms etc etc. Everywhere you look in our house you will find something quite unique and interesting to look at and no way will i follow the crowd's OR fads OR must have's . But that's me.....I'm Italian,so that may explain my way of thinking.
I agree, second had is the way to go for unique. But sometimes you need something faster and you don't have time to find the perfect piece that fits your space exactly. In those cases, it's a good fit. I have LOTS of pieces that are handed down, but it's good to have a mixture of new and old.
Best is make your own style in house wath you like that make it personely it makes you. It let visiters see who live there
I agree, most homes are not just one style, they're a combination.
How do you make this video & forget to mention the UPPLAND sofa? It is the most hard core Cottage Core thing in the WHOLE STORE!
I love the Uppland. You’re right.
Cottages style most cottages style people have done it away.there for that prices more stuf out 100 % wood.
We must have again small producers...we must have again unic pieces ...not all the world to have the same furinture and decorations from Ikea....and big companies and corporatiins.
I agree. Small, unique pieces should be part of every home. But I think it's important to have a mix of high and low. Some of the more unique, one-of-a-kind pieces are more expensive. It's good to mix those with less expensive things.
IKEA is so fun
It's all made in China, though.
IKEA uses more than 1200 local furniture suppliers around the world. The five countries that supply most of the goods to IKEA are China, Poland, Italy, Germany and of course Sweden!
Did ikea pay you to do this... their furniture is incredibly uncomfortable.
Haha. I wish but no. I love to see their styling. I disagree on the comfort, but just like all manufacturers some pieces are more comfortable than others. The Uppland pieces are very comfortable and the parsons chairs are also great.
IKEA furniture is the most uncomfortable. Do not buy a sofa or chair. It's like sitting on a piece of wood or cardboard.
Have you tried the Uppland and Kivik lines? These are very comfortable. EKENÄSET and PERSBOL chairs are very comfortable.
Ikea is an awful place to avoid, bad cheap quality. I am happy I threw this rubbish away.
It's like any manufacturer, some pieces are better than others. But you can always find a home for pieces that no longer work for you, rather than throwing them away. Facebook marketplace is an easy way to do that.
But the quality?.👎👎👎
I disagree. Just like any manufacturer there are good and bad pieces. Some are better than others. I love to include antiques and family heirlooms as much as the next person, but I think it's important to have a mix.
Maybe match your image samples to the words coming out of your mouth. Talking about picture frames and showing baskets? Talking about throws and pillows and showing a tv table? This might make your video seem a bit more professional.
Good points. You’re right
Fun, useful video, even if a couple of pics didn’t match absolutely perfectly! Thanks for sharing!!
I'm sorry but who are YOU? Ikea has had these pieces FOR YEARS. There is no new Cottage trend. Crackin up.
I know these aren't new pieces. But I think there are lots of people who are interested in the cottage style in 2025. That's what is new. And lots of people don't think of IKEA and cottage together.
@@designmorselsI really enjoyed what you showed us in this video clip, 😊❤
