Wow, this hack looks pretty fantastic. Good music, creative use of existing tiles, neat minigames, little nods to the SMW Beta and only an above-average difficulty instead of the insanity you see in most ROM hacks. I'm 1:45 in and I think I'll go play this hack instead of finishing the TAS.
Have you checked out the SMW hack Call of Cuthulu? It's supposed to be a horror mario hack but ends up being a Super Paper mario kind of creepy. Still, please check it out :D

PlainOlJoe Thanks for making this list. I knew I recognized the Racing Chocobos music from Final Fantasy VII. Totally works with Super Nintendo's audio too.
These levels are excellent. I especially like the outdoors part of Climate Cold. The clear, starry sky and music just fit it perfectly. It's very calming and makes me go into deep thought.
From 5:12 to 5:27 sounds like the intro music to FF VII. Don't know how you incorporated it into THIS game, but I'm glad and grateful nevertheless =) Thanks for the upload.
Patrick Andrews Because seizures can be controlled via medicine (pills in most cases) but still, it would be best if you could avoid it. Even if you can control it, you never know. Also you can't live under a rock forever, lol.
I think credits appear only when you finish this level by killing a boss. In Bowser's castle, for example, you get credits only when you kill him. If you take a goal orb for the Bowser's castle and touch it, you won't get credits. This level must be the same. Since you killed a ''boss'' (the invisible sprite), the credits appear.
It is possible to beat the level normally by reaching a goal tape at the end. Completing the level the intended way does not trigger the credits. The same trick was used in the 96 exit TAS and it did not trigger the credits there, so I don't understand why I got them here. Sorry if I misunderstood you, I'm using google translate.
You did a credits warp glitch by accident, thats how you got to the end so quickly. It has something to do with yoshi taking damage while you dropping the item out of your box, then you getting the powerup back while on yoshi while he licked the springboard. If you look closey at 13:10 you licked two items and carried them for a second, this fucked up some sprites and made an invisible football dude at 13:14 that was glitched. TH-cam 'Sethbling SMW Credits Warp" you did something similar by accident.
Actually what he did was the double tongue glitch and the eat-cancel glitch.. You go to eat an enemy or an item like the trampoline shown there at the same frame Mario collects the powerup resulting in Yoshi sticking his tongue out a second time, which works the same way as the first one. Then while he has something else stuck to tongue during that second time, he gets hit by one of the koopas, resulting in the eat-cancel glitch. This makes Yoshi have a sprite in his mouth that when spat out, will become the stunned state of an enemy, which in this case, was the sliding blue-shelled koopa, you know when the koopa slides on his belly at the beginning of the special level "groovy". When he spat out the sprite, it spawned a Koopa Kid which he jumped on and defeated thus ending the level like it normally would. Koopa Kids and the Chucks are the only two enemies that make that sound when you jump on them, but unlike the Koopa Kid, the chuck won't end the level. The game thinks that he defeated the Koopa Kid thus triggers the flag for level completion.
Can someone explain this to me please, like okay I loved playing SMW on my SNES, and I would love to play something like this! Is it like downloadable somewhere like im not a huge gamer so... someone explain.
Feeling nostalgic, I type in the exact title of the video and TH-cam is too damn stupid to realize what video I'm looking for, I just wanted the funny Mario speedy runs of shrooms
No, it's Final Fantasy's main theme remixed. Square and Nintendo paired up for SMRPG, so some things were brought over from each side. Square got Geno, which is why he never appears :(
he stunned a boss with yoshi tongue glitch, it's hard to explain it here, if you want an more detailed explanation see SMW game resources on Tasvideos.org :)
So much ff7 music. So great. Oh fuck I didn't even realize Together We Ride from Fire Emblem 7 (the best one). Whoever made this hack has good taste in music and games.
It's essentially a computer "playing" the game, but a person has to use a program to manually go frame-by-frame and put together a "perfect" run. So essentially a lot of TAS runs show what's technically possible, but it's usually impossible because a human is not capable of making hundreds of frame-perfect inputs when actually playing a game in real time.
i would love to playt this kind of mario shoot even the hack ones anyone know how to get the game and the hacks and are they free... im a avid watcher of all the kind of hacked marios and i think i am ready haha. and is it free?

DragonDePlatino check out Luigi's Lost Levels. I watched Ryukahr play it about a week ago. The music and levels were on point.
Throughout the whole hack, Mario takes Luigi's overworld route and Luigi takes Mario's overworld route.

do you know if its possible to find the theme song from out "in the world" ? ex. 4:10 when walking between maps etc.
That's Terra's Theme from Final Fantasy VI.
These levels are excellent. I especially like the outdoors part of Climate Cold. The clear, starry sky and music just fit it perfectly. It's very calming and makes me go into deep thought.
6:35 "How it feels to chew five gum"
Somehow, this hack feels extremely nostalgic...
Probably for all the Final Fantasy 6 and 7 music. Though its from an RPG it does not realy feel misplaced.
from 2013 to now... this video stills awesome & have the memories of my childhood...
GREAT VIDEO!
One of the only hacks where Yoshi is safe with Mario.
Mario got to see elsa's castle XD

I paused to make the shell fall to the left, because it was stuck inside 2 blocks.

Danger Dan But wouldn't killing a Koopa Kid just trigger a level exit, not the credits?
It's not an accident if it's TAS
this is a tas, pretty sure it was intentional
SMW Hack filled with the best music in history of Video Games? Yes plzz

No, it's Final Fantasy's main theme remixed. Square and Nintendo paired up for SMRPG, so some things were brought over from each side. Square got Geno, which is why he never appears :(
