    I lived with my brother for 5 months .He was diagnosed with cancer and I was there to help him out .The fact is living in a suburb can be lonely.People hardly meet and outings sre mostly on the weekends.
    Initially it felt lonely but I made my routine interesting.Taking our dog for a walk morning and evening allowed me to explore the neighbourhood leading to at least a nodding acquaintance with other dog walkers.I started a vegetable garden ,put up bird feeders and made regular trips to the community library that was really awesome.Whenever I could I made trips to the local fairs, the museums and places of interest . Everything was bew for me so I enjoyed the experience.
    Life is different and interesting and diverse.
    You have to make the best of it .

    Edison me reh rahe ek (old) Patel (gujarati Indian now citizen of USA) ne mujhe bataya“I don’t like Indians”. What to say! Accent ki problem hai. Tourist insurance bahut kam hota hai. Roads r ok. 6 months bahut bore hota hai. No social life. India is d heaven on this earth.

    Oh my god that’s a fact I don’t know why but Indians here in America don’t like to talk to Indian no smile nothing . On the contrary Americans are more welcoming and humble . They exchange smiles and wishes . I have been in USA for one year now but I just fail to understand this attitude when uncle was saying k wo to hi bhi ni krte I could feel him he is absolutely right

      I also experienced the same. In fact Americans are more polite than Desi 😅 they're arogant or afraid to strangers? But I like to stay with my sons even though they are staying in America or anywhere in the world

      Indians trust Indians only when they know them. Unknown Indians handshake may land you in trouble. Further Indians ,pakistanis,Bangladeshis look similar in appearance hence this dilemma. Yet another reason is language barriers though English may be a common bondage

    As I am growing older( I am middle aged) I have realised that all Indians do not want to come out of their comfort zone after a certain age. Why be dependent on children. Everybody needs to learn GPS , english and those parents who drive in India Why don't they drive here. Everybody can drive for 2 months after entering USA.

    1.medical issue is very acute
    2.if you go in July August u can get lots of parents from India coming into the garden and making friends becomes easy
    U need to be IT saby because manual intervention is very minimum n if you do not follow IT it becomes a severe issue.
    There r good library in each area u can spend time there
    For shopping go to Indian stores u get Indian things n people there r help ful
    Crossing roads you need to be very carefully as vehicle speeds r very high because of less traffic and broad roads
    Places like Dalas you get many Indian families and socialising becomes very easy
    Stay for smaller period as ghar ki yad aati hain aur no polution can make us sick as we r not used to it.

    Indian immigrants From big cities of Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi have different experiences in life before coming here. Cosmopolitan mixed upbringing, better social skills.
    Compare them to people from tier 2/3 cities or smaller villages......lack of social awareness, no initiative taking to mix , stay in same native groups who speak same language. This is thru all states of. Usa.

    No public transport? Come to Sydney plenty of transport available unless you leave far away from city.

    • @rprabhu72
      @rprabhu72 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have experienced it during my visits to different parts of the USA. Public transport either doesn't exist or remains awful. But cars are easy to hire. Taxis/Uber are available but are more expensive than hired cars for self drive. In many places can walk only after we reach downtown. If we book some hotel away from the downtown, even if it is a walkable distance of 1-2KMs, we aren't supposed to walk next to highways. Funniest of all, whatever minimum public transport that is available, also shuts on the public holiday. I was in Raleigh in North Carolina, way back in 2013. There were some buses in the name of public transport but on the labour day (first Monday of September) after waiting for the bus for long, I discovered from their website that they are off due to holiday!

    • @mitrakarmakar250
      @mitrakarmakar250 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You are right, without your own transport it would be difficult to travel around in remote or interior parts of any suburbs specifically in US & some other Western countries.

    This is only family opinion.
    Everyone has there own story because of their nature and background.
    You can do anything that you want in 🇺🇸,if you are willing to assimilate and not just depend on other Indians.
    If they are available you should meet them.
    Most Indians come from crowded families and cities and they think they are missing something.
    How come she said everything is Ok only ,in 🇺🇸.
    Anyway, that is their opinion and it is their right to free speech.
    They are nice family and hope they enjoyed and be healthy and happy wherever they are living.
