I lived with my brother for 5 months .He was diagnosed with cancer and I was there to help him out .The fact is living in a suburb can be lonely.People hardly meet and outings sre mostly on the weekends. Initially it felt lonely but I made my routine interesting.Taking our dog for a walk morning and evening allowed me to explore the neighbourhood leading to at least a nodding acquaintance with other dog walkers.I started a vegetable garden ,put up bird feeders and made regular trips to the community library that was really awesome.Whenever I could I made trips to the local fairs, the museums and places of interest . Everything was bew for me so I enjoyed the experience. Life is different and interesting and diverse. You have to make the best of it .
Papa ki ye baat sahi hai..... Maine bhi experience kiya hai..Indian log Indian se baat nahi karte...halaki hume bahot Khushi hoti hai ki bhai hamare deshwasi mile....
Edison me reh rahe ek (old) Patel (gujarati Indian now citizen of USA) ne mujhe bataya“I don’t like Indians”. What to say! Accent ki problem hai. Tourist insurance bahut kam hota hai. Roads r ok. 6 months bahut bore hota hai. No social life. India is d heaven on this earth.
Oh my god that’s a fact I don’t know why but Indians here in America don’t like to talk to Indian no smile nothing . On the contrary Americans are more welcoming and humble . They exchange smiles and wishes . I have been in USA for one year now but I just fail to understand this attitude when uncle was saying k wo to hi bhi ni krte I could feel him he is absolutely right
I also experienced the same. In fact Americans are more polite than Desi 😅 they're arogant or afraid to strangers? But I like to stay with my sons even though they are staying in America or anywhere in the world
Indians trust Indians only when they know them. Unknown Indians handshake may land you in trouble. Further Indians ,pakistanis,Bangladeshis look similar in appearance hence this dilemma. Yet another reason is language barriers though English may be a common bondage
As I am growing older( I am middle aged) I have realised that all Indians do not want to come out of their comfort zone after a certain age. Why be dependent on children. Everybody needs to learn GPS , english and those parents who drive in India Why don't they drive here. Everybody can drive for 2 months after entering USA.
Nice video , India और US में फर्क तो जरूर होगा । We can't expect everything will be same as our country. And that's make every country different and unique.
Ha Maine bhi dekha h vha pr Indian aps me miljulkar nhi rahte h jo bilkul shi nhi h। Bachcho ko bhi apas me ekjut hokr rahna chahiye। Mera to bahut Mann hota tha Indian se baat krne ka 😊 vha k log bahut achchhe hote h ❤
1.medical issue is very acute 2.if you go in July August u can get lots of parents from India coming into the garden and making friends becomes easy U need to be IT saby because manual intervention is very minimum n if you do not follow IT it becomes a severe issue. There r good library in each area u can spend time there For shopping go to Indian stores u get Indian things n people there r help ful Crossing roads you need to be very carefully as vehicle speeds r very high because of less traffic and broad roads Places like Dalas you get many Indian families and socialising becomes very easy Stay for smaller period as ghar ki yad aati hain aur no polution can make us sick as we r not used to it.
Parks , walking spaces in Societies and Libraries are the most important spaces after the meals and bed time at children's residence and time for the new borns.
I and my husband visited US for two times and lived there for more than 9 months each time . We liiked there very much. I don't get bored because of my grandchildren. Very clean and neat place. But in case any medical emergency we have to face many issues because it is very costly there.
Mai bhi abhi six months wahan rahi..wahan hi Maine aapke sabhi video dekhe aapke video follow karti hoon aapke parents ke aane se ek din pahle aai..Aapke Papa ne sahi kaha American toh hamesha jolly mood me wish karte jaise hamari pahchan wale hain..liking Indian toh samna hone per bhi nazar bacha ker nikal lete hain waise America me hamara waqt bahot achcha guzra
आप America में है, India में नहीं; दूसरी तरफ़ सोच कर देखो, अगर Americans India जाएँगे तो कैसा feel करेंगे! America में life organized aur productive है, आप India aur America ka comparison nahi कर सकते, दूसरा country दूसरा ही है
Mera experience different hai us mein sab Indians ney help ki aur bartein bhi dher sari ki aur respect bhi bahut mila india mein sab matlabi log hai aur joothey bhi hai
Indian immigrants From big cities of Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi have different experiences in life before coming here. Cosmopolitan mixed upbringing, better social skills. Compare them to people from tier 2/3 cities or smaller villages......lack of social awareness, no initiative taking to mix , stay in same native groups who speak same language. This is thru all states of. Usa.
U shud have recorded more videos of them like this Rajat,it actually felt that they are there .their presence is soooo much felt.God bless them with long n healthy life.i really love them ❤❤
I have experienced it during my visits to different parts of the USA. Public transport either doesn't exist or remains awful. But cars are easy to hire. Taxis/Uber are available but are more expensive than hired cars for self drive. In many places can walk only after we reach downtown. If we book some hotel away from the downtown, even if it is a walkable distance of 1-2KMs, we aren't supposed to walk next to highways. Funniest of all, whatever minimum public transport that is available, also shuts on the public holiday. I was in Raleigh in North Carolina, way back in 2013. There were some buses in the name of public transport but on the labour day (first Monday of September) after waiting for the bus for long, I discovered from their website that they are off due to holiday!
You are right, without your own transport it would be difficult to travel around in remote or interior parts of any suburbs specifically in US & some other Western countries.
My parents literally come for 3 weeks, but they ensure that they visit us once every year for sure. They have been doing this for last 20 years. Also don't agree w/ your point, Rajat, about Indians Indians ko nahi ache lagte bahar. In India too, you don't start chit-chatting with everyone you meet at the grocery store.
I agree with all the points! lekin uncle ne ek dam sahi kaha, Indians bhai Sahab aapko dekh k bhi nazar andaz kar denge ! Saskatchewan me bahut achhe the log! but BC me no not at all ! upar upar se hello hi karte hain baki jyada mingle ni hote Dawai vala point is also good! Friends mujhse toh bante hi nahi hai 😂 very tight hand on that 😂 good to see aunty and uncle in the vlog
Very nice comparitve Part 2 video about their experiences before and after. Missing them a lot ❤❤ in vlogs. As usual topic is very good. Helpful for many parents...well described by 🙏🙏Uncle and Aunty.

Elderly parents ke liye careful rahna chahiye health wise . Parents beta / beti pe dependent rahte hain ghoomne ke liye .main attraction bachho ka saath . Good topic . 🙏
Apna desh apna hota hai .i have been 16 times out of necessity .i love my India .US is clean no doubt but life is very artificial .healtg benefits to visitors is ZERO %… so pls be careful and healthy 😅
This is only family opinion. Everyone has there own story because of their nature and background. You can do anything that you want in 🇺🇸,if you are willing to assimilate and not just depend on other Indians. If they are available you should meet them. Most Indians come from crowded families and cities and they think they are missing something. How come she said everything is Ok only ,in 🇺🇸. Anyway, that is their opinion and it is their right to free speech. They are nice family and hope they enjoyed and be healthy and happy wherever they are living.
It was a nice feeling to see your parents.....could relate to what they were saying.....still I wish they come again next year so that heju will be more than a year and will interact with them.....aur bhi मन lag jayega unka.....bye for now...take care.....

So true! Don’t know why they have this attitude. It’s not the same in Canada though! 🥴
I also experienced the same. In fact Americans are more polite than Desi 😅 they're arogant or afraid to strangers? But I like to stay with my sons even though they are staying in America or anywhere in the world

Too much Lonliness in US and Canada
I have lived in Canada for 3 years

U need to be IT saby because manual intervention is very minimum n if you do not follow IT it becomes a severe issue.

I don’t get bored . But as you said I don’t extend my stay for 6 months . 3 to 3.50 months
I and my husband visited US for two times and lived there for more than 9 months each time . We liiked there very much. I don't get bored because of my grandchildren. Very clean and neat place. But in case any medical emergency we have to face many issues because it is very costly there.

So you mean people from Mumbai, Pune etc mixes better than villagers?
Good n informative video brother
One reason, I think it gets boring here for parents since unable to gossip/pry here about neighbors, relatives or friends:)
😂😅
U shud have recorded more videos of them like this Rajat,it actually felt that they are there .their presence is soooo much felt.God bless them with long n healthy life.i really love them ❤❤
No public transport? Come to Sydney plenty of transport available unless you leave far away from city.

You forgot to mention which state you are in. NYC has lots of crowd.
I agree with yr parents. It’s difficult for Indian parents to stay in USA
Very practical video, thanks for sharing
Rajat never leaves a chance to highlight issues in India..like the traffic management for VIPs 😂
Bhai i highlighted issues in US in the 80% of the video, you didn't mention that :)
Bil kul I agree with you papa , indians American convert jaldi ho jaate hai
Elderly parents ke liye careful rahna chahiye health wise . Parents beta / beti pe dependent rahte hain ghoomne ke liye .main attraction bachho ka saath . Good topic . 🙏

You should have enrolled your parents into a Senior Center where they could make new friends and spend their time happily..
Hats off to the person who helped you.

Kisi bhi nayi jagah jaao to adjust karne me time lagta hi hai. Boriyat bhi hoti hai. More so when u know u will be eventually returning home. But with time people adjust.
Let’s add another piece of advice: Be flexible.
सौ टके की एक बात " दूर के ढोल सुहावने"।
