  • This is quite a short review, I discovered this little tool a while back however I can't remember where I very first seen it, nevertheless when I seen it, I purchased it to see if it would be worth reviewing and showing to you guys, low and behold, I thought it was excellent and wanted to share this tool with you all.
to be honest, I think this is best suited for Pastel Pencils, however, as you will see in this video review, it can absolutely be used with traditional colored pencils. As always, I have provided a written review of this product where you will find a price list for here in the UK, EU and US. I hate leaving out Asia, Russia, Australia etc when adding prices, but I only use Amazon for my price guides because it is more generic as opposed to naming certain stores around the world which would then also mean leaving others out, which I don't want to get into.
As always, thank you all so very much for your amazing support and for all the wonderful emails and comments I receive, I often wonder what I have done to deserve such wonderful support and generosity, whatever the reason, I am eternally grateful to each and everyone of you. Thank you so very much.

I use my wifes nail files she gets from the beauty store. None the less though, that is a cool little tool.

Cool Harry , I think this would be very useful with expensive watercolor pencils that we put off sharpening so not to waist. Another great review, as always.

I like to use pastels for backgrounds. Until now I used a sharp knife to get the pulverized pastels. But this nifty little gadget is perfect for the task. I'll try different colors together next. Might get some interesting colors. Thanks for introducing me to this grinder.

You could use a bulldog clip to hold the other end of your sketch pad so only need one of these though I like the idea of one for darks and one for lights. As always grand work.

Great review! I’ve never seen this sharpener before. Pretty cool and when I’m using my large board to draw on it would come in handy. Although I just use sandpaper and it works great. Thanks!

I bought from it previously as it is bad in terms of using it in wood colors. It only serves pens and natural charcoal by converting it into a powder that facilitates the shading process, especially in the field of portraiture.

Hmm, I’m thinking this would be great for charcoal while your sketching in the field.

Seems like a lot of pigment waste, as opposed to just learning to use your pencil on its side and rotate it until it comes to a point or to maintain a point. But I get the idea, just hard to comprehend wasting that much pigment just to get a sharp point.
