For real. The Aburame clan is honestly pretty underrated. A lot of missed potential which is further compounded by the fact that Shino doesn't have any children, so we don't even have a new generation Aburame member to see in Boruto.

Well they had an good strategic fight, had interesting and battle viable jutsus. They shined Aburame and Yamanaka clans jutsus with minimal screentime, unlike other main-side chars. Massive potential wasted from the academy gang, but Narutos potential was completely thrown out the window.
For example Imagine if Goku from DBZ went to train with some legendary martial artist for 3 YEARS only to return with NOTHING to show for it...well Naruto did that and not only that he didnt learned any new jutsu he didnt even trained his rasengan, he still needs his clones to help him swirl it FFS.

I think people overlook Obito’s speed towards the end of the fight, we see that immediately after Obito kicked his own arm at Foo, by the time Foo was done flinching he was already coming up from the ground.

People massively underrate how good foo and torune were against obito. They immediately knew how his kamui functioned and proceeded to devise a strategy to force obito to fight back. Keep in mind that minato also took a few seconds to understand how obito's kamui worked. They had multiple plans, and even obito himself admitted that they could have taken him down with their plan . ANBU were wasted and seen as fodder, including the ROOT, because kishimoto completely squandered them and anyone who wasn't kakashi or itachi was absolute garbage. But this scene, even as little as it was, still gave proof that only select members could become ANBU.
Too bad this is the only scene where ANBU of any scale proceeds to give a challenge to any antagonist and proceeds to be forgotten and be fodder for the rest of the series

He is by far the worst character. Tobi was a great villain. Manipulative, cunning, cold-hearted. He was able to manipulate the darkness in the hearts of others. You would think that in order to manipulate people like Nagato and Itachi, and to control an organization like Akatsuki, he would have to have the most horrific and traumatic backstory of them all. He would be someone Naruto could not just talk-no-jutsu to turn him. Yet, the mask came off and he was revealed to be a little whimp who simply couldn't handle the loss of his childhood crush. And, of course, he suddenly started doubting himself and becoming good again. It's like Tobi and Obito were completely different characters. Tobi was a great villain. Obito was a pathetic excuse of a villain.

It really just goes to show how OP the Leaf would've been if not split between Hiruzen and Danzo. If they could've genuinely combined their resources it would be a terrible imbalance of power.
Leaf always was stronger than other villages.
Take a look at the fourth great ninja war..all the villains were from leaf.Thouhh Allied frocesSupreme commander were from sand but leaf ninjas made the differences.
4 kages from four villages reanimated,and four hokages reanimated. In the end, leaf kages were made total difference.. At the end, four leaf nijas were fighting a leaf villain..
Summary is fourth ninja war was leaf vs leaf shinobi where other village ninja just sacrificed themselves and couldn’t made any little difference
The split between Danzo and Hiruzen also strengthened the leaf in many way. Danzo did cutthroat shit and Hiruzen was soooo opposite it never would have been a mutual agreement.
I think the opposite. It's because they're split that it enables them to perform better. Konoha can't be seen as dark evil murderers the same as they can't be seen to be weak and kindhearted. They need to counter each other for balance and for the other to do better

I always like these kind of fights although I wish it was longer side characters are sometimes more interesting than the main cast
Rewatching this again after forever, now makes sense why he casually tears his arm off since he’s half zetsu so he’d just sprout a new one eventually.
I like this kind of fight, they use deduction and strategy, and gave us information possible weakness etc. The movement is clear too, so we can see whats going on, not just some flashy fight with everyone throwing energy blast or nuclear like power.
Why was this more entertaining than most of the other late Shippuden fights? It just felt more grounded, I wish kishimoto had took his time with the series. Why couldn't we see team guy go on a mission or two or any of the other squads? Why couldn't we see squads fight other squads from other villages or really flesh out the other villages.
He could have world builded so much but decided to just focus on Naruto & Sasuke. Ruined the Aktaski(excuse my spelling) by giving us lack luster fights with them. Besides Kakazu & Hidans fights and maybe Kisame and killer bee. At the end of the war it didn't feel like ninja fighting it felt like they just threw blows back and forth. I've been a huge fan of this show since 1st grade I'm 20 now and I have to say. At the end of it all. They really disappointed me. P.S Hanzo the Salamander the one who bestowed the title of Legendary Sannin to the 3 was a huge let down. This show got too crazy with the power scaling should have kept it gradual.

Check out hunter x hunter, naruto took a lot of inspiration from it (LIKE A LOT) and it's honestly top quality. If you want to see what naruto could have become then hxh is probably the closest to it

Yeah dude, fights lost any real tactically. It's like kishimoto said "fuck it, lets go full DragonBall". By the end of the series it was more about overwhelming the enemy than outsmart it.
This was a very short HIGH LEVEL NINJA battle. The speed and strategy of all 3 is mind blowing.

Danzo was there only hope of surviving obito, they had to protect him because not is that their jobs but logically it was the best action since allowing him to unseal his arm might allow them to escape if the cards are played right. I’m the end Danzo did sacrifice himself, yes he was pushed into a corner but it’s narratively implied that he generally did sacrifice himself out of protection of the leaf then just pride.

If Obito hadn't gifted his other Sharingan to Kakashi, he would be practically invincible. Seeing everything that he did with "just" the short-range Kamui. If he also had the long-range Kamui, the combination would be unbeatable.
Plus, on the night Obito attacked Konoha with Kurama, even if Minato still somehow got passed Obito's long-range and short-range Kamui usage, he would then have to deal with Obito's Susano'o.
@@RafaelCliper If he gets tired, he can just teleport out of the battlefield and he has all the time in the world to take rest because nobody can chase after him into the alternate dimension.
It's not like only his opponents can devise a good strategy. Obito's "Tobi" personality is not a goofball either, he is quite sharp himself when it comes to battle strategy. Having the flexibility to fight at either short range or long range gives him a lot more options too.
What we see here is Foo and Torune fighting against the short range Kamui only. To their credit, it took them barely 30 seconds to figure out what Naruto, Kakashi and Guy figured out after hours. However, if Obito also had the long range Kamui in this battle, Foo and Torune would have been defeated even more easily.
It’s funny how when obito kicked the arm he detached Foo was literally staring at it for the longest 😂😂

Honestly the clans are so wide spread in their jutsu styles that there isn’t enough time even in this show to show off what a threat the main clans would be. Like this whole fight shows what a massive tag team duo Shino and ino would be just as a pair. The paralytic poison bug moves with the mind transfer jutsu make them an ultimate capture squad. To be able to both physically and mentally incapacitate you from a melee and ranged attacks. We never would have gotten ino and Shino paired up in a fight and this would be the next best thing. The same way kurenais team is based off sensory types with the byakugan for visual targeting, kibas smell for tracking scents and shinos beetles for widespread surveillance. The teams all really do compliment each other so we’ll but to see just two clans be able to fight off Tobi with all his secrets is impressive. If Danzo would rather keep you around as a bodyguard then you’re definately a threat

This arc is pretty underrated and overshadowed by the Pain arc
Lots of crazy things went down on this arc so I like rewatching this arc more than any other Naruto arc. Literally all the whole arc was high intensity
