I liked the changes with Vergils lines and Neroes tone. In the English version Vergil already knew before the final fight that Nero was his son and then goes “Nero…my son?” And Nero is overall just a lot more boastful and loud mouthed while he’s more mature and soft spoken (which is weird because it’s Johnny Young Bosh). I like both versions, but Vergils Hirata is my favourite.

As someone who grew up with bleach on adult swim meaning dub I also cannot not hear Jonny Bosch voice Nero. Hes voice is just so good. Liked it Bleach, liked it in DMC4/5.

I really do like how in Japanese, Nero monologue before transforming is directed as if he were talking to Credo rather than about him like in the dub. It feels a lot more powerful that way instead of how he seems to be talking to an unseen audience in the English version. Kind've wish that context had been carried over into the dub.

Although, I do wish they made another DMC anime, this time having more episodes and more in-depth story with these characters. It doesn't even have to be an adaptation of the games' stories, and instead be an original one that shows more of the details in Dante's devil hunter life.

I actually beat the game for the first time with japanese dub, it was a wonderful experience I did it only out of curiosity and because I didn't like Nico's voice but it made playing the game so much more enjoyable
