He didn’t steal anything from anyone, he took something and made it better. He gained the knowledge of black music and made it better. He loved everyone black, white and brown, everyone. RIP ELVIS

I dont like the image that he "gained knowledge" as it sounds like he went to the poor section of town and took notes and went back to make music.
He grew up with it and it was a natural part of him. He grew up in the "black community" with that influence as a kid.

Every night after he was exhausted after a concert, he was tired and soaked from sweat, he would still gather up his Back-up singers, and go back to his dressing room, and they would sing Gospel songs for another hour or so. He was a Christian man, but he had his demons like we all do. Elvis was a really good Human Being.

Elvis was one of the few who pried open the door for amazing black performers to walk through and made sure he never got any credit for it. He wanted them to shine. And it's true Elvis always made sure his girls got the star treatment because they were just as important as he was in his performance.

It makes total sense to say that Elvis may be dead, but he will never "die." Unlike any other musician in popular culture, he changed society. His impact was far greater than any other musician ever. Was he the most talent ever? Technically, probably not...but the total impact he made hadn't been experienced before and hasn't been experienced since. Anyone who thinks he "stole" music doesn't understand what real music is. He brought real attention to artists and music that deserved so much more attention than it had received prior to him. I am thankful for that.

"What most people don't know is that this boy is serious about what he's doing. He's carried away by it. When I was in Memphis with my band, he used to stand in the wings and watch us perform. As for fading away, rock and roll is here to stay and so, I believe, is Elvis. He's been a shot in the arm to the business and all I can say is 'that's my man'. THERE IS NOT A RACIST BONE IN THAT MAN'S BODY, AND I SHOULD KNOW." -- BB KING.

That’s odd. Thor is only king I know. A Magic Palestinian rabbi who tortures ppl for not having curtan religion, tells you to hate your family and friends and only love and worship him.. Still after 2,000 years endorses and sanctions slavery, rape, looting, genocide and child genocide. Forced marriages and stoning the females I’f not virgin. That doesn’t sound like anyone who is deserving to be worshipped as a king nor God. Elvis I’m sure if he would have researched and studied his indoctrinated Abrahamic religion his parents labeled him under has a infant, he would been smart enough to not fall for his indoctrinated beliefs. Got to remember all these ppl back then whom was racist, we’re extremely religious. The Bible literally endorses and sanctions owning ppl as property that you can beat and pass them to their offsprings to own forever. It’s an divisive and racist book, but clergyman and religious apologist try their hardest to cherry pick and re-interpreted 80% of the doctrines to not make it sound so barbaric and evil to keep ppl in the religion, in the churches full, so they make millions off the ppl wanting a promise of a life after death. It’s all a scam, And humanity’s longest going scam.

I`ve been an Elvis fan for decades, and when you know a lot about him, it`s more than just loving his music. Being a true Elvis fan means trying to be a decent human being. The moment you do something indecent or disrespectful, it`s as if Elvis is kicking you out of the fan club.
That`s why I find it so hard to bear when people treat his image disrespectfully by making fun of him or even telling lies about him.

The black projects were right near him. He has cross-racial friendships with kids in the neighborhood. He started going to the black church services to sing and the pastor asked him to join the choir. He had hit gospel albums.

Another great documentary I would encourage you to watch is "Elvis: Return to Tupelo". It shows what his childhood was like, how he was exposed to the music that influenced him, and how he began his rise to stardom. Teaser: it tells how, as a baby, he was dragged along in a cotton sack while his mother picked cotton. It's really good!!
