We literally did that. My dad is army man , he doubted tat the boy we searched frm matrimony is not truthful. His family was in hurry for engagement. Dad did investigation nd finally came to know tat the boy lied. He lied abt salary , flat.

For me similar happened..he said he lost his parents but has huge money and properties in US and currently deployed in Seoul for a government project.. over chat we spoke for 2 weeks and suddenly told that he decided to marry me and coming to meet me.. get engaged and will look for property to buy in my place.. he even showed the hotel booking confirmation in Taj..and the day he arrived i recieved call from Delhi Airport that this has brought jwells a lot so he needs to pay customs but he didn't have money.. and asked me to pay 96k.. I was worried and told my sister.. my sister n bro in law told me not to take his call .. it seemed to be a scam.. that guy kept calling me also the Delhi airport.. I asked him to do video call so I can see real situation.. but he refused and started abusing..thank God I didn't pay him the money
Yes on Jeevansaathi app there r many fake NRI profiles particularly as doctors n surgeons in UK and they mention that they don't have siblings or will have only mother or either father. But actually they r fraud . They will put a photos of dashing n handsome guys to attract girls. Even in chat they will pretend u that they have fallen for u in first sight n u r the only one he is waiting for bla bla... Then the same fraud story will happen , he will stuck on airport etc .. or he will try to find yr financial status, bank name etc very cleverly. So girls n guys always be cautious if someone wants to know abt yr money n status , this point will always help u... No real person will ask u for money before meeting u n even this is a shame to ask such questions while building a relationship.

I work with a leading matrimony firm in india and trust me 99.99% of the times,its the same mistake! These people gave money after meeting but we have people complaining that they transferred it without meeting or just after 1 week of convo. Just use common sense:- talk to parents of the prospect,talk to only paid profiles and verified profiles and most importantly,use some common sense and dont get attached to anyone within 2 weeks!

In the first phone call every fraud people talks politely and gives a positive reply on what you say. The first phone call won't make you understand about the person or family.. If your child thinks he/she sensing some bad vibe then don't force him/her to obey your rules. It's her/his life. And also a full grown adult understood more than older people so yeah keep faith in your child.
But sometimes parents don't understand especially in the case of girls and girls can't express due to hesitation I'm unmarried and it happens with me many times
My mother got a guy's profile from some broker. That guy claimed to be Mtech engineer working in Bank of America. My mother arranged their family visit to my residence. He came along with his parents, uncle and 2 sisters. All of them interviewed me by asking my salary, property and future plans. They looked fake to me on various terms. Later I verified his Job profile. He turned out to be an admin working as a security guy / pion of BOA. I had got all the blue prints of his. But mother was not convinced. She kept on pursuing that match and even got angry at me. However finally it was turned down from his end and I was relieved. Otherwise my mother was prepared to set me up with that man.
I got married from Matrimony match. There are so many people who are fraud. Always we should speak with their parents directly not to the guy or girl. This is vey important. But God's grace I found the right match and I am happy today.
My sister cheated by online matrimonial site with a guy, he made some excuses & asked for money and everything is just vanished even reported in cyber crime of delhi they are not give any information so far, dnt know how they will stop Online crime like this. 😔
