Any filter that creates movement on surface will get oxygen into water, the main function is to mix the upper layer of the water with bottom, and level of oxygen will be fine. No necessary filter, even submersible pump can do this. When you use air pump it not that bubble get dissolved in water for few milliseconds as they rise up, they just create upstream flow, and this one mixes water in aquarium.

@@nestorquintero1444 Gracias Nestor, exactamente le agregue material filtrante muy parecido al perlon hace tres semanas atrás y es increíble como atrapa la suciedad, este filtro es pequeño pero cumple muy bien su cometido.
Não compre esse filtro é uma porcaria, não limpa nada e essa tampinha branca abre e molha todo seu móvel ou onde estive, tive uma péssima experiência... Não recomendo...

L-shaped part is the surface skimmer. The knob is to control the water intake flow; you can adjust water output with that.
