Very fitting tribute to the most legendary sport quad of all time. The Banshee is one of those things that has stuck with me all these years, I was just a little kid when it came out and think I died a little inside when they announced the discontinuation of the quad in the US after the 2006 model year.
Too bad after '06 we couldn't get anymore Banshees here in the US so I bought a new SE in black & never fueled it but got another '06 which I plan to build, Would love a '10 but we need to be protected from ourselves by our self-righteous liberal government.

for all who wonders why they discontinued the banshee was in fact it was a speed machine, a machine that fataly injured many and also killed many. in my y of thinking they should start saleing them again cause yamaha would make a killing. we should start sending yamaha letters telling them to start making them again.
EPA ban on 2-cycle oil/gas engines and protecting the environment. Banshee production in America ended in 2006 but I believe its still produced in Australia currently. I do HVAC and they keep pointing fingers at Freon. All I know is dinosaurs once flourish the world then earth turned in a big ball of ice now look out your window. The earth changes day by day... They stopped in 06 only in USA my friend :) we had them till 08 in Canada and they had them till 2010 in europe. In fact you can still buy a 2010 brand new in europe. (they stopped at 2010 but they are still producing this model as we speak)

The legend of two stroke atv's is the ltr500 (quadzilla) but I agree is much rather a banshee
