One thing I wonder sometimes is why different oscillators beat more or less when they are detuned. I had a 1977 Minimoog which sounded fabulous with detuning. I recently got a Behringer model D and while the sound is surprisingly close for the price the oscillators don't have the same beating effect at all, much less lively. Similarly my other vintage monosynths like the CS-15 and Korg Mono/Poly sound less lively when detuned compared to my Moog Source.
I also love that Saw/Tri waveform! I always wished to see it as an available wave shape on an LFO. Could create some really interesting textures.
