    The math is wrong at the end. Regardless of whose turn it is, the person taking the damage or the controller of the creature taking the damage gets to choose the order the damage modifications are applied. The exact ruling is 616.1.
    616.1 If two or more replacement and/or prevention effects are attempting to modify the way an event affects an object or player, the affected object’s controller (or its owner if it has no controller) or the affected player chooses one to apply, following the steps listed below.

    The math on the combo at the end is wrong. The target of the damage gets to decide how the replacement effects are applied, still though it would be a lot!

    Furnace of rath is a symmetrical effect, like dictate of the twin gods. High risk high reward cards. This is a lot safer. 👍

    I've been brewing my own Solphim list and I've found that I want to lean into Tims. Basilisk Collar, Loxodon Warhammer, and Shadowspear all have a place in this list (I'm not at all afraid of allowing people to gain life when I can burn someone for literally hundreds of damage in one turn). Spear Spewer, Thermo-Alchemist, and Guttersnipe are HILARIOUS with lifelink, especially when Solphim is on board. What am I doing with all that extra life?
    Defiler of Instinct shenanigans to drop vastly cheaper or even "free" spells.
    Solphim, Toralf, and Chandra's Incinerator make for an excellent "oops, I win" condition. Same with drawing a Heartless Hidetsugu. Terror of the Peaks plus Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs has caught people off guard once or twice, usually because of a Feldon of the Third Path. Sin Prodder and Combustible Gearhulk have made tight matches swing my way when someone already stressing over Manabarbs makes the wrong call.
    Overall I like Solphim. There are a few different directions to take this deck and I get to revisit my highschool Big Red theme. It's a good feeling to drop a pure nostalgia include, Crater Hellion, again. And with protection from Swords or indestructible counters (thank you Nesting Grounds) I can use Soul-Scar Mage to make that a one-sided wrath even through my opponents' own indestructibility.

    In the example you said about the goblin, correct me if I'm wrong but I think the opponent decides how the damage is stacked making it 1×3 then +2

      I could only find a reddit page about the rules

      Because it is my turn and I control all of the triggers, I get to order the triggers on the stack. At least, I'm pretty sure that's how it works, lol.

      @commanderbydaenen if that's the case, then I've been doing it wrong. Also have you tried chandras incinerator with repercussion while you control torbran or any damage multiplier

      You can see this under Torbran gatherer rulings:
      If another effect modifies how much damage your red source would deal, including preventing some of it, the player being dealt damage or the controller of the permanent being dealt damage chooses an order in which to apply those effects. If all of the damage is prevented, Torbran's effect no longer applies.

    nice video man. first time checking this channel.
    I have a question about this. Did you make the deck thinking that the mayhem dominus doubles doubles damage to all or only to opponents?

      @commanderbydaenen  ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, Solphim says both permanents opponents control as well as opponents, so I did both. But I've always been a fan of Player Removal.
