Yes ut is common in Kansas for instance to have storage sheds but no house since a farmer may not keep his stuff near to house but near to field. Small gates is meant to be pulled through and hook up on field. Combine only has heads on in field only
Nice big map, correct however that the roads look not so nice, with weird texture artifacts... very low res... and, crosswalks across roads in places, with no sidewalks in sight, cause it's out in the country... lol The sell point grain systems have no grain leg or (in case it's said that it is inside the building) no pipes going down to the bins or the tower dryer... hmmm... I do like the overall layout and terrain of the map, very nice... has a nice, American feel to it. I like the collisions in the power poles... very realistic, even if some folks don't like them, the standing water in the fields is a very nice touch as well... Up in Missouri where I used to live, many of the farm areas scattered around had no houses on them, or, if it was there, it was an old abandoned falling down house, not lived in. One thing which concerns me with this map is the weight file, gdm file and grle file sizes on it... as they are the default 2x map sizes, they were not scaled up to the appropriate 4x map size before finishing out the map... in the past, this incorrect file size issue has resulted in problems in 4x maps with certain gameplay aspects... Awesome review and great job as always reviewing the map!
HAHA currently have 170hrs on this map. started looking for a new map when my friend is not on its seems kinda empty. I do really like this map though. just feels kinda empty sometimes. like for instance hazard county felt a bit more lively.
Nice looking map. Looks like Central, Midwest and Southwestern Ohio, which is mostly flat due to how the glaciers at the end of the ice age had melted, thus making the land somewhat flat. In contrast, the eastern part of Ohio is quite hilly and features many rolling hills where during the ice age the glaciers did not form there. The standing water in these low lying fields is correct since flooding in these areas is very common, although these ponds and streams water levels should be much higher to reflect this as the ground would be saturated in reality. Since I live here in Ohio, I have seen these streams and even rivers overflow their banks and come right up to the roads or in some cases flood the roads entirely along with farmers fields. Since flooding is common, you will not likely see many farmhouses on these farms because its very hard for anyone to get affordable flood insurance in these low lying areas. I can't even count how many times I seen flood warnings for Warren and Darke Counties here in Ohio. I have to say the map author did a great job for the most part. I agree some of the textures could be improved and some of the gates and buildings need to be bigger with much larger door openings since you need big equipment to farm the larger fields.
Same, I live in auglaize county with 2 farms in the family (one recently acquired, both non-operational) and the last bit if rain closed several school districts and came close to delaying mine.
welp know what map im gonna be grinding on for a WHILE.... they did a great job it looks like... reminds me of midwest ohio more in the central where you have more of the hills. lots of giant fields with also smaller fields all over the place
I just downloaded and installed it, and I would like to thank the people who made this map. You put in it Cooper Farms grain silos and that is just north of where I grew up. We were a farm below where that was built. Thank you, thank you, thank you. This bit of nostalgia brought a tear to my eye. I would like to know though, is it Hull Brothers where I came into the game?
Not often but you definitely see it on occasion where the farmer may live somewhere and have the farm itself separate in Ohio. Also I know a good deal of western Ohio and I am not sure where this map is based on if it was taken from a real map.
Just finished doing several seasons on the Welker Map. Have completed about 3 seasons (18 days). Working through the school of hard knocks. Sun Flowers failed to complete their growth but on the bright side, those field are fully fertilized. Does anyone using this map know if taters and sugar beets grow? A great review FK. Thanks
Just tried this map.... Like it a lot at first glance. slightly more complete than the preview now, but still feels very incomplete. Can't remove fences... The water levels in the fields and even across the roads are just weird. Standing water is one thing, but it doesn't just get ignored by roads and crops... Animal buildings without triggers as well, makes it silly as you have to build an entire second set of buildings to do ranching despite already having the buildings in place? ... Map is incomplete. I like it - but am very surprised it was submitted to Giants like this. No wonder it didn't pass testing.
I've had a good day of nosing about. It's a bit awkward, as I really, really like the map in general, and the details are just about right...enough to make it look okay, not so much that framerates fall off. The thing I have most trouble with is finding a base to work from. None of the prefab farmyards have enough room to add placeables, and there are no useable buildings beyond storage. The scales a bit strange, too, with many of the buildings feeling cramped. Mind you, I'm 6'.
Tiger Gaming, all I can say is I play with people and cars set to on. If they do not show up in the video then its very likely they are not there but then again this map might have been updated several times since this video came out so its hard to say.
FK. I like the layout of this map, but there's just too much work to make it playable for me. I went into GE and deleted some farm buildings in order to replace them with placeables. However, the land is so uneven on the default farm and several others that you cannot place any buildings. Even with smoothing in GE I still get "terrain cannot be deformed" error. Almost all the supplied farm buildings are too small and cramped for such a large map. It's a shame because this could be one of FS19's great maps with some thoughtful rework.
@@brycekallenbach8042 Forcing buildings into the uneven landscape would look pretty bad. At the default starting farm for example the "drop-off" from the farm building locations is about 5 meters which is hard to repair considering the close proximity of the fields. To repair the areas in GE would most certainly require reworking the field boundaries which is more work than I personally wish to undertake. As the Ohio farm terrain is mostly flat the author could have left most of the map flat with some elevation changes in less critical areas. Since there is not even a working silo on this map the author clearly intended the user to customize. With that in mind why not give us flat placeable areas free from static buildings. Perhaps I'll take another look at the map in wireframe mode to find a spot away from fields that I can flatten.
I really looked forward to this map once Sim Farmer started a time lapse farm build series but it disappointed me once I started. Kind of lifeless with no towns. I understand for those who want a very rural map but for me it’s nice to see a few places of business on the map.
Good reviews as normal thank you. Can you use the place anything, horse trainer and global company mods on this map? The reason I ask is I get on start up. These mods well or may cause conflict and they should be removed. Screen. It comes up on all the maps I have tried to use. Any ideas? Thanks! Oh and in your opinion what are your top 5 maps?
Thanks for the review. I just cant get into FS19 with out seasons and GPS mods, maybe when there released I take a stab at FS19 again. Never could understand why these mods were not a part of FS19. But thanks TXZar and CBJ for making the map.
I got a question and hopefully you will see this I’m using midWest Horizon but it comes with a season geo how do I get rid of that because I downloaded the New York GEO but it is overlapping each other and I would like to use the New York one and not the mid west horizon GEO can u help?
I saw the first part of this video when it came out, looking at the preview I thought "great at last a map to get my teeth into" but after watching the full video I get the impression that the MODr has started with a good idea but then gave up and left it unfinished and just kicked it out of the door. Just deleted it from my folder.
I think its just deco but there is a working irrigation pivot that is in beta. Once it goes full release look for it in my mod review play list. I think TXZar mentioned it on his FB so you can find it there until then.
I would give this map a C+. When I first started watching I was like: "Yes! Finally a large American map that is close to a real area! Totally downloading." Then I finished the video, and now I am torn. Do I really want to play this map? The lack of triggers, vehicles, life, textures, etc. The addition of water in the fields, weird artifacts, an irrigation pivot that has no function and does not belong in that field, etc. This all has me torn. If I do download and play it, I will need to do alot of editing in Giants to get it to a playable state, but it is a good starting point. One big gripe about this straight off the bat though is the trees. I have driven though Ohio a few times, and I dont really remember seeing clumps of trees like that. I would start by removing many of them. They stand out and are completely useless.
What part of Ohio did you go through that you didn't see clumps of trees? I can show you right now from where I am sitting which farm had a particular clump of trees. Ponds??? Yep, used to swim in one.
Matthew Anderson nar its a seperate mod, it runs courses and takes abit to get us to but like u can run 8 headers together and just go nuts on the chaser, and get courses running which will do your trucks to the bins
Matthew Anderson yeah well the Western Australia map is bloody big, its gd, i run 4 headers, 2 massive mother bins, 2 triple trians on kenworth t908’s and 2 chaser bins, the big elmers on 1050 fendts
Did you happen to fire it up in MP? I tried it in both start from scratch and Farm Manager mode and the store trigger was missing. hitting "P" did not take me to the buy menus...
The mod authors submitted it to the mod hub and went throuh a few rounds of rejection. It appears they finally decided to just release it on facebook. If they ares till going to resubmit to Giants I do not know. If the question related to the mod hub is about console availability I can tell you given the map size at 4X it is highly likely to not be compatible with console. That is what we have heard in past versions of FS.
feels like they never finished this map. you can see where the cow trigger points are but none of it is programmed in. so many 4x maps are like this though. i always check out a map first then use the giants editor to delete crap i dont want or just do some general editing, then i got in and do the landscaping and contruction in-game. i dont know why i play this game sometimes... its so poorly optimized and the mods are hit and miss
All of those other games have fairly static maps. stuff does not change unless the player is near to it. with FS the entire area is changing all the time.
Yes ut is common in Kansas for instance to have storage sheds but no house since a farmer may not keep his stuff near to house but near to field. Small gates is meant to be pulled through and hook up on field. Combine only has heads on in field only
Great video, saves me massive amounts of time checking out maps - cheers for the advice on how to download it, not immediately apparent to me !
Feels like home but needs a lot more work to be really playable. I like that they made the gas station a Casey's
Yes, Ohio. Thank you. I will install this one.
Wish consoles had an American map like this
I agree
Flat, Big, Straight, Populated and Trafficated maps 👌👍
One day maybe on ps5 but if your planning on buying one of those I think you might as well go PC
If we could play on maps like this I don't think I'd ever leave my couch
Just buy the PC version stupid
THANK you so much TXZar and CBJ for this awesome map

In Missouri it's common to have sheds for equipment in a separate area from where the house is
Yes I can confirm that. The house is normally away from the farm in Missouri
I would love to see a map like this and one like Gemeinde Rade in the next farming sim. And, of course, better helpers.
HAHA currently have 170hrs on this map. started looking for a new map when my friend is not on its seems kinda empty. I do really like this map though. just feels kinda empty sometimes. like for instance hazard county felt a bit more lively.
Nice map, but some things I don't understand like the tiny storage and narrow gates on a map clearly intended for large equipment.

Just reference the seasons plant harvest schedule if they show plant and harvest times they should be fine. It's all down to the geo
I love the layout, i just wish it had more detail and extra wrap points
Nice triple gainer when you checked out the power pole collision. Great video. Nice map, but some work is needed to refine it.

Hey FK, I would like to add-on that there's over 30 grass fields which you can mow, or add on to an field. Also you can use it as a farm.

Wow that map is amazing. I just might have to dust off the gaming laptop. I’ve been playing on PS4 for a few days.

One of my favorite multiplayer farming maps really great map if your doing a farming competition

As I mentioned in the global company mod video it includes horse helper and place anywhere functions within it so they are repetitive.
Thanks for the review. I just cant get into FS19 with out seasons and GPS mods, maybe when there released I take a stab at FS19 again. Never could understand why these mods were not a part of FS19. But thanks TXZar and CBJ for making the map.
I'm waiting for seasons too. Guidance Steering is likely to be as close to the old GPS that we will get
Seasons mod is out now! And this map got an update for seasons compatibility!
I got a question and hopefully you will see this I’m using midWest Horizon but it comes with a season geo how do I get rid of that because I downloaded the New York GEO but it is overlapping each other and I would like to use the New York one and not the mid west horizon GEO can u help?
Adding a geo takes priority over a map included geo and the base geo in seasons. There not able to conflict.
Your a gem sir , if u ever need help just asked .

I did not put it on a mp server or try it in local mp. I think I saw the author state on FB if issues where found to report them there.
Farmer Klein I did thanks. Just wondered if anyone else was seeing the same issue.
Giants should find a way to make maps this big work on console
love it good job
Couseplay ever gets on modhub i may have a new map to play on. This needs couseplay.
Is this gonna be a map for consoles as well?
This is a 4x map which as I understand excludes it from consoles.
The map doesn't show in the game. My fs19 is in 1.2 .0.1 version
Update to the latest version of the game.

If GTA5 and all those other games can have huge maps, then FS19 can to.
They're just afraid to.

There's only one thing missing!🚂!!!
No Multi-Fruit I wont be down loading this. I don't care for the square and rectangular field layouts. But it is nice to see more Midwestern maps.
I like the map
Qué bueno sería este mapa en Playstation
This map needs to be on console
Looks like this map lacks some details.
