the moment in rumble when you get matched with someone who can't throw disks or make basic pillars is magical, and then you stop the fight and give them tips on how to make the postures more consistently, i never thought i would learn enough to teach someone
remember that one episode... Earth RUMBLE Arena?? :P and, Idk, "rumble" is kinda the sound a boulder makes, when rolling down a mountain... that was my first association with the name, at least xD

6:08 THIS!!! Absolutely!!! At first u r 100 certain, u did everything right, and the game just won't get ur inputs right. But once u notice the importance of ur wrist position...it starts to sink in ^^
It’s just like when you build a bridge and you’re like: “Why do these cars keep falling in the water?” And you realize it’s because you never connected it to the other side. Classic oopsie.
@@DirtTheGamer u mean, building the poles, girders, abutments, but forgetting the decking? yeah...never happened in any bridge building video game...who would be so dense...I have no clue...You forgot the decking!...What? Oh the phone...I have to go...
when I first found out that you can spawn a second pillar under the first one to push the first one to gain advantage to win the fight, thats where the game got me. the devs did a great job. I played over 20-30 vr games but this is my fav so far although I mainly play shooter
Would be awesome if they created it so you could bend the other elements too. But had to learn all of them like this and know how to do everything to use it
Thanks for making the video that introduced me to my favorite game! Played this for almost 3 months now and rarely skip a day. It has been very satisfying to see myself getting better and better. I am even participating in tournaments, although I still suck compared to the pros. But those pros have been really nice to me because of the friendly playerbase.
@DirtTheGamer .For some reason at 4:35 I think this was me! I remember an experienced player doing these exact movements or very similiar ones to yours. If I did get to play with you im so happy I could make it in one of the videos. Anyways, great video as always.
It would, but if you play it you'll realize that would be a very bad use of effort. The playerbase is very small (even if it is faithful). Nowadays only about 100 people are playing worldwide, requiring extra hardware would bump that number down.
That actually reminds me of how the initial black belt is in real martial arts - you've mastered what the school can teach you, now the next part of your journey can begin. I think there's usually still nine ranks to go by the time you get that first black belt, and it's common for the upper levels to be locked behind either X age or Y years/decades of experience with the topmost levels often being accessible only to old masters who've been doing it since childhood.
I found the game pretty easy got to black belt in 2 days lost maybe 3 or 4 match’s Hope lot more is coming including new ranks or belt, new gems, new maps, and move moves would be kool as well great game but lacking in player count tho
imagine having all 4 elements in the game and any bender could duel with anyone 0-0 that would be sick cus imagine a firebender vs earh AWHHh my dream fr-
Getting my first VR headset tomorrow. I am so damn exited to try out this game. It looks to even be healthy. Your reflexes improve. It's literally a sport you can do while playing video games. Perfect for lazy shits like me not wanting to hit the gym.
2hrs into the game and still couldn't even beat the robot and throw a disc sucesfully. The best tip i got was to calibrate my arms half way through not completely, and then I was able to throw a disc every second! that was the moment I started to enjoy the game and play like 10hrs in two days. Absolutely an underrated game.
a shame it's not available on quest 3. I have a vr pc and a pc headset but I had to go to Quest because i had no room to do anything fun where my pc is at. Quest i can do out in the garage.
I got this game yesterday and i have to say is downright one of the best experiences i ever had. It has it's problems, like the lack of players leaving me with nothing but the training robot to play with or the single kid who just got the game as well and played with me on every single match since i started (was fun to be honest, we ranked up together and both got introduced to the new moves at the same time, and that kid had some talent!), but even with those problems, just standing there summoning rocks and throwing them away just brings a new level of satisfaction i'm still not able to comprehend. Honestly, this game feels like a mix of martial arts and wizardry, it feels like i'm learning a new skill rather than just pressing a button to summon a boulder, and even if it's just a game, it's more than a good enough workout session, every muscle in my body hurts from extreme exertion yet i just wanna get back to playing, i haven't felt this motivated to do physical exercise like, ever
@@DirtTheGamerthat wasn't really a problem. after a couple minutes i had it down, but i think some of the moves aren't meant to work consistently. for example: spawn ball.... when i stand in the small training circle that shows you the move it works every time i do the movement. If i step 1 meter further ahead and do the same movement, it works 1/10 times. I even tried doing it blindfolded: I did the movement behind the area and then kept inching forward while doing the movement until at some point i reached the area with the tutorial hands and suddenly it started working consistently (while i kept my eyes closed). So i think the game isn't that well made.
@@DirtTheGameri also find it incredibly dumb, that where you set your arms length also sets your height and whether movements work or not depends on whether you are the perfect height. Let me bend my knees goddamn. i first set my height to less than it was and my character just wouldn't run. Until i realized 15minutes later i have to bend down to run.

Great video! Does this game have full body tracking support? It would be so cool if you could stomp your feet down to execute moves.
It has hand tracking since that’s where all of the moves stem from, but that would be quite interesting

I'd buy this on Steam but that slight latency that comes with wireless stuff ruins this kind of game for me. Waiting for a standalone port 👍.
You can't beat a top player in rumble if you don't know at the very very lesat mid to high end flick tech
And now imagine the developer making a game with all four elements that would be so awesome and probably infinite
