I am Canadian (from Quebec to be more precise) and no we aren't doing that much better because: 1) We also have and had our own small rise of conservatism around here although I can't tell you right now how far that's going to go. 2) America's our number one trading partner so we can't piss them off too much unless we want to fuck up our economy (something America could do without our involvement even). He's simply saying that in his opinion the *illegal* activity of the leaks are real news, while the actual content leaked (for example the conversation with australian PM) was "fake" in that it was an unimportant nonissue used to draw the public's attention and smear Trump. He's saying the news media should be focusing on the fact that there are illegal leaks which is in his opinion much more newsworthy than the actual content of said leaks. Note: i'm not even necessarily a Trump supporter. But I'm starting to get pretty tired of the ridiculous and obvious one sidedness of these accusations against Trump. There IS a certain sense to what he says, its not "madness," even if you disagree with what he's saying. But instead all I got was the usual one sided treatment where they select some less-than-eloquent sound bits and make him out to be some kind of idiot. The point is, I suggest if you want a real impression of Donald Trump, watch the whole conference from beginning to end, about 2 hours. It's pretty amazing. You'll get both the good and the bad, and you'll be able to draw your own conclusions. He isn't nearly as bad as they make him out to be (though he isn't particularly good either, I admit).

He didn't need to draw out a plan. He didn't need to go into specifics. He didn't need to give a detailed report of what's going to happen to curb the rise in Anti-Semitic crimes. If you actually pay attention and watch the entire press conference, it's not so hard to understand what he was saying. He's simply saying that in his opinion the *illegal* activity of the leaks are real news, while the actual content leaked (for example the conversation with australian PM) was "fake" in that it was an unimportant nonissue used to draw the public's attention and smear Trump. He's saying the news media should be focusing on the fact that there are illegal leaks which is in his opinion much more newsworthy than the actual content of said leaks.
Note: i'm not even necessarily a Trump supporter. But I'm starting to get pretty tired of the ridiculous and obvious one sidedness of these accusations against Trump. There IS a certain sense to what he says, its not "madness," even if you disagree with what he's saying. The liberal media just constantly takes him out of context and does not give a balanced picture.

You have everyone sending out disinformation from Kelly Anne to his appointees when interviewed. And many in the intelligence agency that have quit or been fired because of gross incompetence of the administration at the very top putting national security at risk!
This type of BS is and has actually put people out of work and killed innocent people, people lost healthcare and medicine (with nothing to fill the need), taken funding from education and the arts, destroyed the environment ( DAPL and getting rid of regulations that make it ok to dump toxic waste in open water), destroying information on the welfare of animals (by deleting information of the USDA website) and potentially getting rid of the animal extinction act , trying to roll back Todd-Frank laws that put pensions of millions of Americans at risk (firefighters/police), taking away laws that govern guns so that mentally disturbed people can get them, banning people that aren't even a threat to americas safety and causing chaos and people loosing their jobs, making Americans pay for a wall it doesn't need, trying to cut corporate taxes by 10% so the 1% get richer, companies leaving because they need an international workforce to trade with other countries...
Trump doesn't even know what a Black Caucus is or what to do about a Russian ship, and yet doesn't do it with any eloquence or diplomacy, but rather ask a member of the media to make a meeting for him (because his staff obviously can't) and then play a game of battleship!
He's destroying the office of the president by his incompetence alone. He doesn't need the media for that. He's a walking time bomb that the media is just telling us how long the fuse is each day.

Again, if you actually watch the press conference and not the media-digested bullcrap from CNN, you would know he spent the first 30 minutes or so describing what he actually has been doing the past month "for the wellbeing of the people" (whether you agree as to the effectiveness of his actions or no, he *did* do stuff). Among some of the things Trump said he did he got several top corporations to promise to invest large sums of money (billions) in building factories in various states. When I heard that, I thought that would actually be one of the big news items coming out of the press conference, and I was interested in hearing more about it from experts to see if it was actually true. But instead all I got was the usual one sided treatment where they select some less-than-eloquent sound bits and make him out to be some kind of idiot.
The point is, I suggest if you want a real impression of Donald Trump, watch the whole conference from beginning to end, about 2 hours. It's pretty amazing. You'll get both the good and the bad, and you'll be able to draw your own conclusions. He isn't nearly as bad as they make him out to be (though he isn't particularly good either, I admit).
