Leo55BabyBoomer you are right, because they were & still are the shit. I recently found out that they are still performing, & maybe one day we will be blessed with a new CD. Oh by the way Tower of Power, Mandrill & New Birth were also amazing 😉😉
+Virginia Grandy I hear you! Thanks for the update.
Leo55BabyBoomer I forgot to mention that I recently found a Black Ivory website, & if you register Black Ivory will personally send you invites to record signings, & upcoming shows, plus much more. If you're interested I will give the info.😊
+Leo55BabyBoomer you called that right, slow dance or slow grinding..., just sayin!
I agree with you 100%. They were & still are AWESOME, because they are still performing. I found a Black Ivory website, & if you sign up, they will send you notifications about upcoming shows, as well as other goodies. Enjoy babe, because they just don't make beautiful music like this anymore😊😉
This is real music that they just don't make anymore. I look at it as gone, but NEVER FORGOTTEN

Black men with afros! YES!!! I was in high school when this came out. Great memories.
I was nineteen when “Don’t Turn Around came out. I was totally hooked with the group, and fell madly in love with the lead singer. ❤
If you lived in the tri-state area (NY, CT & NJ) when BI was hot, you couldn’t go anywhere house parties or clubs without these brothers getting their due on the box. What golden times those were.
CT! Summer of '72...NEVER better than that!!
featuring a young leroy burgess who would later go on to be one of the most prolific producers of new york dance music...
back we had pride look at those afros
back when we respected each other
back when you could slow grind swear back your relaxer and it did not matter

Absolutely beautiful ballad perform live.
This was when you had to have TALENT!!! How did we let the music become what it is is today? So glad I remember this kind of music and not the fake 💩 we have today. These guys did not need borrowed jewelry, clothes, cars and strippers. They just got there and sang and the rest is MAGICAL 💥
What happened was that producers found that they could save money with synthesizer banging as opposed to real instruments and voice enhancers as opposed to real singing.
This is when music was music soul music was real fine music
What a gorgeous song. "Don't turn around. Cause nothing in the past will change." How true. Old school music gave us wisdom.
I’m so glad that I was I was part of the seventies which was great music, also the late sixties was some great music to.I was born in 56.which I was born into a rich family that was rich in music,we were poor but very happy back then,my kids were born in the late seventies which they are old school music, and and of course they are military Brats all three have traveled around the world, and being a military family your knowledge of what goes on around you means a lot,you look at the in a differently.music plays a big part of your life, many people don’t see it that way.Great music life was not that stressful back then, music in the sixties and seventies is what hold the black family together,And of course don’t forget the mine person in the family was grandma and grandpa.
