What’s up guys and gals, I’m Kage848. I love to make videos for TH-cam, mostly early access survival games like 7 Days to Die, Empyrion, Raft, Mist Survival, The Forest, and more! At 16:55 when you ask if the boulder can be hit infinite times, I had a “letsgameitout” moment. “Several hours later…”
Yes! Love that you're "previewing" this game for us. Very curious to see how much game/game play there is already created. You've got a lot of tools - keep them. I know you can use the bolt cutters to get into places and open some high quality loot containers. I wonder if the red 'x' on the bus - which only appeared on the engine area - means you can shoot it until it blows up??
If you think you'll keep playing for a little bit, maybe find a place to set up base and fortify it? There are more things that you need (or will need) than can be carried or easily stored in a car.
btw...since you always get it stuck in my head, it's "The life I love is making music with my friends".
I bought this last night, sank six hours into it, and I FRIGGIN LOVE IT! I went to bed last night excited to wake up today and clap some zombie cheeks and build my base! Beware, there are special zombie types, called Zombie Bosses.
Sledgehammer can be used to gather scarp metal from cars that are 100% black(rusted) only. You can also get wood with the axe/hatchet, rocks with pick axe. Note that you get a limited amount from each "find" (rock pile, wood pile, or car) but the locations of each do not move for your game. Just go back to it another day.
Also loot containers will respawn everytime you load into a game. so if you run through the entire map and are still playing you should save and exit the game and then reload it to force respawning the loot.
Like you, as an added note I disable motion blur and leave depth of field on.

You can collect scrap from the burnt vehicles that are the same design as the drivable ones, and listen for the air drop plane to fly over, when it flies away, if you check the map it will give the drop location, get a picture of the location and head there, great gameplay kage848!!

Little more depth of field and it’ll be perfect 👌🏻 but loved the video!! I like this game.
Depth of field looked fine to me. 😁 Also, didn't really notice the motion blur. Most games you can tell instantly.
Put that gas mask on and leave it on. You don't want to accidently walk into an infected zone. If you don't have a mask on your health drops almost instantly.

I’m lazy as hell. Still own and train with 4 firearms. It’s an important thing that you need to do. Even if it’s only a shotgun for home defense.
Love your videos! I especially get a kick out of watching you loot EVERYTHING! "Ohh, a candy wrapper" *picks it up* And for a brief moment, I thought for sure you were going to grab that table. Can't build a base yet, but you never know when a good table will come in handy. lol
The blackish rusty cars you can hit with the sledge to get scrap metal.

Bro craft a couple water wells and you will barley ever have to worry about water.. I have placed quite a few water wells all over the map to the places I go to the most right alongside the road so I can just pull over and take a Big gulp of water and I'm good to go and I don't have to worry about carrying it everywhere with me
Depth of field is a personal preference so whatever works for you

Yea there is a fire axe and a hatchet. You want the hatchet. It doesn't drain as much stamina and swings fast.
The depth of field is great. I think you should leave it on...as you continue playing this game.
Random jets fly over, thays what you heard. Idk what that does yet. I assume it's not implemented in the game yet. My guess is it's like when the helicopter flys over in project zomboid.
Depth of Field would describe your let's plays! Interesting game Kage, not one for me but I enjoy the coverage all the same.
Try using the climbing axe , see if it will work as a melee weapon. If its the 'reach' part of it, that should help.

the reloading animation for revolvers is the same as 9mm so it just looks silly when you reload the .45 gun

Is there base building in this game? Love a good survival zombie game where I can fortify a base and defend it.
Yea its in development but there are barricade walls and gates and stuff. You mainly retrofit a building that's already there.

Hi Kage. DoF is a per game thing (for me). I didn't see anything connected to that which caused any visual issues for me. Is this by the DeadPoly people? Cheers.
If its like dead poly you can use your pick on the un-lootable cars, vans, trucks and or buses to get scrap .

Depth of field? Does it make you view better than not? I'd try both of them and see what happens comparitivly.....
Keep an eye out for the Legendary weapons (2 atm) I'm pretty sure any container will have em but remember its really rare 😂
What is suicide for? I saw that inist too. Also I cannot tell you how much I hate inventory Tetris. One of the main reasons I haven't bought GH (and a few others) besides the building.
I hate the ice cream truck song knowing it's history, and it's so loud! Hopefully they allow settings for sounds

you can get some pretty op items from looting zombies that you kill other than that yeah, no point yet.
Hey kage you can you the bolt cutters to open military cages it's used on your tools section in your inventory
Health will regen as well as long as ur fed and watered too.

It looks like the crosshairs are tied to which direction your character is facing. “The crosshairs are too the right” because your character is facing forward. I don’t believe the crosshairs are aligned at what you’re aiming at.

I have a question everyone, if I make a base, and then my character dies, will my base still be there? Or will my base be wiped on character death?

You are better off sticking with depth of field for melee attacks.

Considering they use the same engine and the developers know each other..
I always turn of DOF. It is especially bad in 7d2d, makes looking through fences horrible.
Didnt know it already released followed the development of this one saidly had to report this game to epic for stealing dances but i think it got removed now
Only wish i made his own system instead of using a full survival asset called survival kit V2
I hoped he only used it for laying out the base and build his own after that like you shut seems like he didnt do it
