Opcode is producing the best video games boxes on the market ! , His games are high quality also , he's having three of the best programmers for the 7800, Darryl for Popeye , BoB for Moon Cresta and Lewis for Keystone Koppers, I order two intellivision games and colecovision repro boxes from Colecovision, I should have my 2 intellivisions in November from Opcode, thanks for the video Jon !
Your videos really helped open me to the 7800 home brew. Saw this about a week ago and made the plung on popeye, glad now to know it’s all legit :) awesome vid!
I’m hoping all the rest of the Bob Decrescenzo games that got pulled off the AtariAge store end up on the OPCODE store. But in all seriousness if anytime has been a time to be an Atari 7800 fan boy what a time to be alive. Great interview Jon
Pre ordered this within 20 seconds of announcement. As an 11 year old in '83 I was obsessed by the arcade game. When I ran out of quarters I would blink my eyes to generate fake tears to the arcade matron saying the machine ate my quarter so I could get free plays. He eventually caught on lol.
@@Trialwolf we talked about that in the full interview (that you can watch on Patreon or with a TH-cam membership! Or wait until November 4th and it'll be released for all!) and he is doing his best to keep shipping costs low. But it's out of his control mostly!
I get what Atari is doing with Atari Age, taking a long time to sort things out. I hope they amp up activity there, and more importantly, get people their orders who've been waiting, and refunds to those that have also been waiting. I think we will see some activity on Atari Age in 2025. Lots of opportunities to grow and sell games to willing buyers.
I'll let you in on a little secret... they aren't! And I know that's a little scary but the game was on AtariAge for half a year and it wasn't pulled so I don't think that's a real issue (not immediately) here either. I'm not even sure if Nintendo has the rights anymore...
I really hope someone rereleases Astro Blaster for the 7800. Although Megamania is basically a clone for the 2600; I regret not getting Astro Blaster during the last chance sale.
@@dad7275 that's terrible. Im Glad that more alternatives are popping up! Albert has posted the reasons for further delays but it's just ridiculous. I feel your pain my friend!
Same here, just emails of excuses. I dropped over $250 on games. Last email said that there were 300 some less people waiting, but nothing about receiving their games so I'm assuming that those were all orders that were canceled. If I don't get my games by Christmas, I will for sure look into canceling my order with my credit card company as well.
@jeffkaczmarek3577 cant blame you. I understand that he has alot of orders but why isn't anyone helping him? And why take more orders and send then out before the over year long wait of last chance orders are filled? That frustrating in itself. So chances are I will not order from Atariage again. We've been more than patient.
@@dad7275 The last email said he was in the process of moving houses and needed a few months to get set up, and also going to the Portland retro game expo, to sell more games, while he has over a thousand customers who already paid and are waiting for their games for a year, total BS.
@@TheAtariNetwork thanks. Yea I might give those alternatives a chance. 😊 I truly like to do business with Atariage again but I can't honestly trust them now. I just dont get why they fill newer orders while the last chance gets pushed farther and farther back.🤔

I hope they do too so I can cancel my order with AtariAge that I've been waiting on for over a year.
The 7800 has been getting more action in 2024 than it did in 1986.

Opcode has been a CoLeCo preservationist for a looong while now. Glad to see he's working in the 7800 space.
Thanks for posting this, it really helps confirm the legitimacy of these pre orders.
Hopefully shipping to other countries will be reasonable.

Such a great time for 7800 owners.
@@Junofirstdefender3394 yes!!!!!
Good video! I heard about this happening on another TH-cam channel! It sounds good! Great for Atari 7800 owners!
Cool video. Popeye and Kangaroo are two of my old-school favorites

How does Nintendo allow Opcode to publish their property? I already pre-ordered my copy but genuinely curious.
