So, here goes. Here's the story about my Dad, David Harding. My dad was a safety inspector upon the rigs and he told them about the issues he found and was furious when they refused to shut the rig to fix the issues. Instead of correcting the issues, they blacklisted my dad. Of course I cannot speak from my own experiences but I have been told that this is what broke him, not only did he know something awful was going to happen, it eventually did and he was powerless to stop it! Then worst of all because he put the safety of the rig workers as his highest concern his family were now suffering, he could not get any work, he felt emasculated, useless and alone. He felt as though his family would be better off without him as he could not provide anything. I always feel my self mentally screaming; HE HAD SO MUCH TO OFFER, WHY COULDN'T HE SEE IT! But of course this was not how he was feeling at the time. So that is why I grew up without a dad, because some people who cared more about money than people could line their pockets. Yet the man who cared more about the people's lives than his own pocket couldn't see a way out of the darkness and left this world far too soon. I have wanted to share this information for a long time as I feel people have not been held accountable for their actions. My dad may not be here to fight to make this information known but I am and you guys are. Please share this post and video so i can hopefully get answers and justice for David Harding. #PiperAlphaWhistleblower #Suicide #JusticeForDavidHarding #mensmentalhealth
Oh your poor dad I lost 2 friends dads and the man who trained me worked on a ship. I wont mention his name as he lost 2 crewmembers and 6 piper survivors. He cant talk now as he passed as a real survivor all he got was a stupid bit of metal. I know he hated it. He got on with life. You get on with yours. Dont try sympathy you got money. If its gone its gone. Your fault not everyone elses. I am sorry for your loss but get on with your life lass.!!
I am quite puzzled by your comment. This video is focused on raising awareness and giving recognition to David Harding, a remarkable and intelligent individual who made efforts to save lives but unfortunately faced neglect and repercussions. Regarding the mention of money, I must clarify that my family did not receive any financial support or payments (£0), let alone from the industry. Your insinuation that we benefited from this tragedy and are seeking more compensation is offensive. The only ones who benefited were the industry, as they continued to profit instead of implementing the safety recommendations my father proposed. Growing up without a father, as did my sister, and witnessing my mother lose her spouse has been a difficult experience. The world lost a remarkable individual, and the industry knowingly endangered the lives of numerous individuals by neglecting safety measures. I encourage you to ask questions, but please refrain from insinuating that my family is seeking financial gain when it has always been about recognition for David Hardings life and work.

Ahh I'm so sorry. He would be so proud of you both and the parents you are to your beautiful kids.
