Im aware the revolver is not the best option for a sidearm. But consider the occasional really cool spin animation when you switch to it. Cool factor is always at play 😎

Motion Blur & Depth of Field are Off, Anti-aliasing is On, Quality Profile is set to Performance. A bunch of controller settings are adjusted as well, but those don't matter. Obviously, if you're on MnK
its reload speed is unfortunate. super fun to use but not as reliable as the redeemer. the nade pistol is cool too, I'm a big revolver guy in games so I feel u

Jump pack is my go to on every single mission save for defense missions. Using it to infiltrate Automaton facilities and sneakily plant Hellbombs is one of the most satisfying feelings.
I never managed to sneak a hellbomb. as soon as it lands the bugs run towards me :(

@@pse2020you should try it on bots. I used the anti material rifle today and it was great against even hulks. With the jump pack you can go wherever you want to snipe

I even use it on defense to get to high up spots and continuously call in orbital strikes and barrages

Getting good with the jump pack means you can be safe a lot more often than without it. It can be used offensively and defensively as seen in this gameplay. It can be used to quickly take care of POI's, jump in to take pressure off allies, retrieve dropped samples, jump over to a terminal / other task, etc. It can be used to blitz bases with a surprise 500kg or a hell bomb to take out a nest or stratagem blocker. And most importantly, its super fun to use. I will never care what the meta says to use, the jump pack is based.
Jump pack is def the best backpack in my eyes, shield generator is great but it's a massive crutch tbh
@@wisemysticaltree568 I almost always run the jump pack but I recently used the shield pack once and I realized it's good for weapons that require you not to flinch/if you need to stim and not flinch (altho that's mostly for the bots)
I'd love if it had a bit of firey backblast that set stuff right behind you on fire, so you could use it to kill a chasing hunter.
@@adriankoch964 that definitely doesn't make sense. The flames don't even touch the ground and even then fire spreads fast and kills you fast. Not good in case you use it next to your teammates.

If I recall correctly, its main purpose in the first game was to help you jump over chargers, at least that's how I remember it being used. Regardless, if you're having fun, that's the most important factor!

lol thats what i use it for the most. i bring the antitank, jump over a charger and drop the pod on its head, it dies on impact, then i use the 2 anti tanks to kill the 2 other chargers... its just too damn fun.
I used it to run from my teamates airstrikes.
The main use in the first game for the jump pack was to be invincible 😆 you could just chain jump and survive a lot of BS.

@@Even_N.D. Mandalorians get sustained flight while jet troopers get one good jump, so not quite there yet, but you do get the authentic Battlefront experience will jumping high and shooting rockets below you while you're landing

My problem with it is how short and low the jump is. I found the most useful things were for getting down from heights safely and getting out of swarms. But I can generally avoid those problems anyway, so I never got much use out of it. I stick with the backpack shield since it gives a big defensive boost and passively. Although it is fun jumping around with the jetpack.
If you're out of stamina, the jump is pitiful. If you let it regen even a sliver, it's much better.

@@magicbeans1640yes. it uses around 30% of your stamina. if your stamina is full, the jump is greater, and trust me, the difference is very large.

@@josh___somethingI’ve noticed that the jump pack isn’t doing all the work. It’s to assist your diver in a jump. Hence why it’s pitiful when your diver is out of stamina. He/she can’t jump
I think the pack is underappreciated right now because newer players favour durability. But as people become more accustomed to the tougher fights they'll realise mobility is a much higher survivability variable than armor.
Was definitely using Shield Pack the most when I first started playing, that's for sure. Mind you, this was also before it got nerfed alongside the rail cannon.

@@bofa722Same I unlocked it and used it almost every mission ever since xD I've brought the shield pack once and used it a few times when it was the only one on the ground and it's nice to have but yeah just kinda boring. The only thing I've recently realized it's really good for is allowing you to not flinch when you get hit so it's good for being able to stim or getting off a critical shot. But id still use the jetpack over the shield pack any day
Dude, your extraction and the final dude's extraction was so cinematic. You jumped over total hell, and the last guy managed to extract RUNNING THROUGH the swarm and get into the ship at the VERY LAST SECOND. What a badass finale.

Bruh everybody here hating on junp pack either dont play the game enough to care about trying new things in game or just mindlessly take same loadout every mission
To be fair, I take it this same loadout, almost every mission 😂 (save for defense/holdout missions, of course). I'll swap the eagle between 500kg & the normal airstrike, and the 4th stratagem varies from Gatlin/Mortar Sentry for holding out at those longer objectives or Orbital Railcannon strike when playing against bots.
Jump Pack and new Eruptor rifle is great sniper combo if terrain allows you to get high enough
No, we just know its fun but less useful than a lot of other things that can fill that slot. Supply pack would be 8 stims 8 grenades 8 reloads. Thats going to be more valuable than a jump pack to most people. There are times I'd like the jump pack, but those are 1=2 per mission tops.
Or lets take the ability to bring in a turret or eagle or orbital. Those will be of more value to not only you but the team than getting on some rock and shooting down.
I'll take in a lot of load outs, even the jump pack for fun but that doesn't make it a good choice in most circumstances.

I have to say, rocket devastators being able to dome me 150 meters out with a rocket while I'm prone on a rock is straight up bs.
@@Phier554 that and the shield gen is honestly so good, even after the nerf. Those spores that can fling you when shot? No longer effect you while the shield is up. Those bug "mines" that slow you down when you go over them? Also no longer effect you, and you can tank a full on 500kg bomb right in front of you. Of course this is all so long as the shields active.

The moment I pulled the P-4 big bang bang it was my permanent sidearm. I use it as a main weapon on low difficulty missions for chaff transversing the map

Dude that extraction was clutch! Not only was your jump straight to it rad but E1 making it just in the nick of time, strolling past the hordes of Terminids, 👌 Beautiful.
The jump pack is so useful when running as a support sniper/recon role. Like Trying to defend an area but is cluttered, bottlenecked or even lack view angles from which enemy patrols may surprise your team.
Spotting POIs from a distance and patrols to avoid.
Providing sniper cover from high places where going on foot isn't possible
Useful get away against a bile titan or hulk attack. Saved my ass multiple times.
Jump pack sniper gang, call them Thunderbirds from old Native American Mythology.

I’m sorry but I haven’t even made it 30 seconds in and I’m already cracking up at that Hunter getting bulldozed by the Charger and the sound it made.
Beyond that I totally agree with you. The thought of combining the Flamethrower and the Jetpack is what made me impulse buy the game soon after it came out, and I was absolutely not disappointed.

Out of all the bugs, hunters probably deserve it the most.

Jump pack is my favorite stratagem because of the skill curve it has attached to it
the skill curve is simply understand for what moment you should keep the charge, i mean, you are not wrong, but it's not that much of a learning curve

My favorite part of the jump pack is that you can look at fall damage and just say "nah"
Compliments the anti-material rifle very well since you can use it to reach a high vantage point and snipe to your heart's content.
It needs a shorter cool down and more height. It takes a strategem slot AND the backpack slot so you really can't use most heavy weapons.

@@sidekic1109 you're fine against bile titans if you jump to a rock slightly higher than his head. then its just about strafing when he starts jumping at a regular pace and you're good. zap his face from the same level or above with the arc thrower and hes dead in a few hits

The best feeling is Jetpacking into a bot base, grenading the fabricators and jetting out before they even realise youre there!

It was a bot defense on hell dive. He was the first to leave. Another left in the first five minutes of the mission, he died about seven times, I only died once by getting dunked into a hole before proceeding to finish the fight with the biggest chaddiver you've ever seen- I dont remember the legend's user, but I hope wherever they are, they're out they're spreading democracy like the stalwart hero they are. o7
I once had a guy say the jump pack sucked. I told him "you'll see", expecting to show off my skills. He said he was just kidding, then I lagged out.
They always pick the best times for me to do that.

Going off of thumbnail pic, I actually got x119 once. I was watching the counter, it was right around x35, and then suddenly it jumped to x118 and then I killed a bile titan right then for 119. For clarity, it was the "tower defense" mission, I had mortars and static field mortars going off. I suspect I hit a large spawning clump of bugs or something.
The jump pack is like playing a different game in itself. Allows you to areas you normally wouldn't even consider getting too. Helps escape massive waves ect. Very underated
I take the jump pack on every mission
Sickle, grenade pistol, stun grenades, jump pack, 500kg bomb and orbital cluster strike, flamethrower and the new warbond’s light armour.

Absolutely love the jump pack it has been my go to backpack strategem for a long time now I only recently started using the shield occasionally cuz I was getting pissed at flowers I would step on. Overall it is the most fun backpack strategem easily and my personal favorite. Especially the feeling of being far away from extraction 20 seconds left landing an absolutely beautiful jump towards pelican 1 feels great
I think if the jetpack got buffed where it automatically slows you down if you jump off a cliff it could be the go to that or give it 2 charges
might try it again sometime, doesnt seem like it would be the best for the bots though, since you know, they have guns
I use it for bots just as much, definitely correct on the guns aspect. For bots, the playstyle is more to avoid fights in general and stealthily take out fabricators and objectives. If I have to fight, I'll use it to get up in hard to reach spots where I can shoot down at them more easily and avoid devastator rockets.
I agree that it’s less useful for bots, but changing/gaining cover while in combat with it is great, since bots struggle to keep their shots on you midair. It can also be used to cheese tanks with ease.

I have a bad habit of forgetting to use my jump pack until I'm already swarmed. Watching how you use it often for spacing and positioning has been super helpful.
Jump pack and revolver make everything 200% more fun. Even when the revolver isn’t performing.
Anything that gives you additional mobility is S tier in any game.

The shield is definitely saved me quite a few times, but the jump pack is by far my number one used. The added mobility is amazing and adding way more three-dimensional play to the game is very nice. And I love hearing "Liberty leap!" Lol
That thing has saved my life more times than I can count and always in the most glorious ways.
I love when people understand you have to prioritize the fast boys (hunters? idr tbh). Too many times I see people just getting trailed by those things trying to also take down biles, nursings, chargers, etc. Ya just can't do that on like, HD for instance. Great gameplay and showcase of what can be done with the jump pack.

Since the Vandalorian Meme started i played my Helldiver similar to a Mandalorian: Jumppack is mandatory.
I realized how good it can be also against bots while i mainly played it against bugs before.
Jumping over a tank and just throwing nades at its Back while the rest of your team is under fire is just such an awesome feeling.

Fellow jetpack and enjoyer here. I never go into a dive without it. It saves my life more than any other tool or strategem in your arsenal you can bring and you seriously notice a difference when you don't have it on after you die. Traversing the map so much faster and easier plus just way more fun in general. If you've never tried it out I strongly suggest you do!
I love the jump pack, it keeps me alive and I've had a lot of cool evacuation moments because of it 😂

I always feel a bit empty when i dont bring my jet pack.
My man here was running the "Main Character" booster.
Fluent gameplay. You have much greater trigger discipline and a sense of timing than I do, for example.
I tend to try and just keep my weaponry busy, always be laying down fire where-ever I can, and especially when dealing with chargers, shoot them in the butt with the primary instead of kiting them around effectively like you.
I think the biggest difference however, is how you dynamically advance and retreat about the map, using that jump pack to find advantages and shortcuts impossible to find by foot. While I always try to stand my ground, and minimally juggle about, attempting to meet the bug waves head on with as much firepower as possible.
And from this footage, its pretty clear which approach yields better results and less helldiver deaths

I adore the Jump pack. Ik there are some options like the guard dogs that just make sense to pick but i also like to avoid friendly fire if i can and those are notorious for it. A lot of people feel like it doesnt send you far enough forward but they kinda dont understand the nuances with it and that there are different jumps you can do and what its actually good for, which is clearing vertical and giving options on approaches you otherwise wouldnt have. Its also very good for stealthing surpisingly as it allows enough burst of speed to just make the bots and bugs not see you. Ive cleared out so many bot fabs where they didnt even know i was there until the fabs were already gone and without using my stratagems which i can then save for bigger bases or more priority targets like tanks, hulks, bile titans, and chargers
I've literally stood right beneath a bot manning a turret, flew up basically into its face to lob a stratagem into the base, and landed back below without it reacting.
It's basically absurd how little they react to the jetpack
Standing still and jumping or jumping backwards allows for very accurate impact grenade throws gives an edge when enemies are hard to reach due to terrain
I like it because I can throw an eagle/orbital a longer distance + get out of a bind if I’m overwhelmed by too many bots/bugs + gets you to otherwise inaccessible higher ground for the perfect sniper position.

Love the pack and it's always on my char unless I'm doing defense missions. Great for traversal, great for getting over obstacles to use them for cover or give yourself a chance to reload or resupply. Great for Atom bases and whizzing around. Also great for getting to higher ground as it's sometimes hard for the CPU to get units up there to attack you. My favorite time to use it is during that 2 minute wait for the pickup... nice to get to a high spot and pick off enemies and such. Wish it would recharge faster, but then it would be OP.
You guys made a pretty good team. I wish I knew guys like that that I could play with man. Awesome gameplay it was very satisfying to watch.

Every level 9 mission is like a movie
Picking every single fight you can with enemies that do not know where you’re at yet is so funny to me
yeah, i guess if you've got a team full of shield backpackers then you have time and space to screw around with elevation
the jumppack is so versatile, you start using the terrain so much more for attacking/defending and try to combine it with different loadouts (napalm strike so you can lure bugs into the fire even more often with jumppack, then use shotgun to shove them back into the fire lol)
sometimes I got the feeling that instead of the jumppack I could use something else to increase my firepower, but then I remember how often it saved my butt or just made situations way easier to handle that I go back to it
also it's fun as hell and you can drop additional jumppacks for backpack-less allies later
