I think my best encirclement was over 200 JP divisions in Iraq. Still don't know why the AI thought landing that many into a single spot was a good idea, but that was before the supply overhaul. Counting their allies which also showed up, it was well over 1 million casualties in a single battle. I don't think I'll ever top that.
I was playing kaiserreich once and i encircled the russians in Ukraine, belarus and poland. By that i mean those three countries were one giant encirclement full of hundreds of divisions. It literally took me years to close.
I love how every @isorrowproductions end game uses copious amounts of nukes to win. As a fellow Canuck, I can imagine the horror of wading through 5 atomic detonations in war torn Europe.

There's a strat you can do here: in order to stop monarchist Britain from doing, well, monarchist Britain things you can delete their entire army, air force, navy and factories to basically neuter them. Sadly there's no way to really get the equipment anywhere useful (maybe lend-lease the soviets?) so you might have to just destroy it.
